I opened my eyes and saw Amelia sleeping against my chest. She looked so peaceful. And beautiful, but she was always beautiful. The morning light, muted by the canvas of the tent, cast a soft, ethereal glow on her face, highlighting the delicate curve of her cheek and the soft peach strands of her hair fanned out across my chest. Her breathing was soft and even, a gentle rhythm that harmonized with my own. The memory of the night, of her warmth and passion pressed against my bare skin, sent a fresh wave of contentment through me.
