The air was thick with tension as Uneri and I circled each other, our swords gleaming in the mid-afternoon sun. The once serene green hills had transformed into a war zone– craters and everything.
Uneri's gaze was sharp, his posture poised and ready for my next move. He was a formidable opponent, his skills honed through countless battles as a marine knight. I could feel the weight of his experience pressing down on me, but I refused to yield! I was the future king, after all!
The weight of the crown was not yet mine, but its shadow loomed large, urging me to rise to the challenge before me. But more important than that, I had to get stronger for my family. My sister and sons were possibly in danger. If that fox that attacked Rose did return, I wanted to be ready.
Uneri snickered as we kept circling one another, looking for weaknesses in the other's defenses. "You sure are cautious today, Prince."
