Alexander stepped out of the car, about to head over to the boot to grab his stuff when he felt a sudden buzz in his pocket. He stopped in his tracks and pulled out his phone to see who was messaging him.
When he opened the message from his sister, he found himself reading the following words:
The stalker has escaped. Lock yourself in the apartment until I have security sweep the area.
As he read those words, the blood drained from his face and he almost dropped his phone in shock. The stalker had escaped. But how? There was no way she should've been able to get bail.
That is unless someone helped her.
But why would they? Wasn't the stalker just some expendable pawn to scare him. Why would they help her escape and come here? How would they benefit from it?
Before he could think much about it, Auralia screamed, "GET DOWN ALEX!"
