Tobias had finally turned his back to the woman who grovelled for his forgiveness. It was too little, too late. He had enough of this 'relationship' garbage, and just wanted to be left the fuck alone. No; it was more precise than that. He just wanted Amyra and Amyra alone to cease the hold she had on him.
"You can leave at nightfall. Then, I don't want to see you again. Ever. Do you understand what that means?" He didn't bother to turn back around, even when she began to speak again.
"Tobias - please..." she started tenderly.
He did not return the same tone in kind.
"Shut. Up." He managed through gritted teeth as it took all of his strength to not pick up something and hurl it at her. "You really don't get it. You really think you can just fix things like it never happened. Fuck, you're so full of yourself..." his anger rolled into bitter laughter as he kept his back to her.
