Chapter 2611 - -2540- Fierce battle (3)

"You…!?"

When that sudden voice reached Leff's ears and he turned to look at the figure approaching, the expression on this arrogant Demon God finally changed.

Tap—tap—tap—tap—

The sound of high heels striking the ground echoed clearly as the figure stepped forward, appearing upon the battlefield.

It was another girl.

Yet, this girl had no direct connection to Rozen. She was neither his Servant nor his Familiar, but rather only his nominal superior and comrade.

She had long, pure white hair.

She had a delicate, refined face.

She possessed a tall, graceful figure.

And she carried the air of nobility, looking every bit like a high-born lady of great standing.

Unfortunately, her face bore no gentleness nor elegance—only the urgent tension of someone driven to the very limit.

To Rozen, to Mash, and even to Leff, she was no stranger.

"D-Director…!?"

Mash's eyes widened in shock as she cried out.

Yes.

The newcomer was Olga Marie.

No longer appearing in the form of an evil spirit, but restored to her original human body—the Olga Marie who was supposed to have perished.

"It's you?" Leff said in disbelief. "You didn't die?"

His words had barely left his lips before Olga Marie denied them.

"No, I already died once—thanks to you, Lev." Olga Marie fixed her eyes on him, her expression complex. "But I simply came back to life."

That's right. Olga Marie had come back to life.

Rozen watched her without surprise and spoke calmly.

"Back when the Director became an evil spirit, we mentioned it—perhaps it wasn't entirely a bad thing."

After all, a spirit was by nature an unstable existence. With Chaldea's technology, if the spirit particles comprising the soul were reconstructed, Olga Marie might be restored to her original form, and perhaps even regenerate a body. Roman had once said as much when she first became a spirit.

If that process could be completed, it would amount to a complete resurrection—a miracle even magecraft could not achieve.

In other words, it would touch upon the realm of True Magic.

Of course, this wasn't something that could be done casually. It required overcoming enormous difficulties. And back then, Chaldea, devastated by the bombs Lev had planted and already facing the crisis of Human Order Incineration, could not afford to divert resources to resurrect a single person. Olga Marie had therefore abandoned the idea.

But later, as one Singularity after another was repaired, as one Holy Grail after another was recovered, Chaldea's resources grew abundant. Olga Marie finally had the chance to use some leftover resources to conduct research and experiments on herself.

The result was what they saw now—Olga Marie restored to her original appearance.

However, she had not yet regenerated a true body, and thus had not fully resurrected. She remained a spirit, not yet stepping into the complete realm of True Magic.

Even so, Olga Marie had achieved a miracle.

"According to legend, the Third of the Five True Magics is the Materialization of the Soul—a path to complete immortality. When perfected, the soul becomes a perpetual motion engine, granting infinite mana."

Rozen spoke faintly.

"Olga Marie may not be fully resurrected, but her spirit has taken on the tendency of materialization. She has touched the threshold of the Third Magic."

That was the truth.

If the Third Magic still existed before her, Olga Marie could probably master it at once, becoming a Magician.

But the Third had long since lost its succession, and no wielder of it had appeared for ages. Olga Marie, naturally, knew nothing of the true principles. She had merely brushed against its realm by chance.

Yet even so, she had benefited greatly. Not only could she shift freely between human and spirit forms, but her magic circuits had undergone a complete rebirth, and her talents as a Magus had grown dramatically.

If she were to appear now in the Mage's Association, she would either become one of its highest authorities—or be placed under Sealing Designation. There would be no third outcome.

But that was a matter for another time.

At this moment, Olga Marie was here for one purpose alone—revenge on Lev.

"I've imagined this day countless times—imagined standing before you again, unleashing all the hatred, returning everything you did to me."

Olga Marie's eyes locked onto Lev as she spoke.

"But since it has come to this, I won't dwell on your betrayal of me, nor even your betrayal of Chaldea. As Director of Chaldea, I will strike down you, who turned your hand against humanity."

As she said this, torrents of mana surged from her body.

That mana was in no way inferior to a Servant's.

"You must be prepared, Lev Lainur Flauros!"

Olga Marie's voice rang out.

Lev said nothing at first.

Then, he laughed.

He laughed with wild madness.

"To think—that little brat we barely noticed would become our greatest threat. To think—that naive girl we once dismissed would one day appear here in the Temple of Time, declaring she would destroy me! Hahaha!"

Lev clutched his forehead and roared with laughter.

But within his laughter swelled the fury of humiliation.

"How troublesome do you humans intend to be!? Damnable humans! Why won't you just die!?"

With that cry, terrifying mana erupted from Lev's body.

Facing him, Olga Marie turned her head toward Rozen and Mash.

"Go!"

She called out.

"We'll hold him here—go to the Throne, and destroy the source of it all!"

Hearing this, Rozen gave Olga Marie a deep look, then nodded silently, turning toward the temple's center without a word.

"Director…" Mash looked at Olga Marie, lips parting as if to speak, but no words came. At last, she only said, "Please be careful."

With that, she followed after Rozen.

Watching them, Olga Marie allowed herself a rare smile.

"Stop!"

Lev roared, thrusting out a hand toward their retreating figures.

"You won't escape!"

"Not while I stand here!" Olga Marie shouted back, her mana erupting in a violent wave.

"Damn it…!"

Lev snarled, withdrawing his hand and turning toward her, releasing his own overwhelming mana.

BOOM!!!

A thunderous roar split the air.

The outer reaches of the Temple of Time became a battlefield.

And Rozen, leaving all of his Servants behind, brought only Mash with him as he advanced toward the temple's heart.

There, the final enemy awaited.
