Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Captivity

in the room.

Logiel saw that Qin Fu belonged to the rare space system and immediately stood up, excited.

"Space department!"

Hearing Logiel's voice, Qin Fu was forced out of his trance.

Looking at Logiel's excited expression, Qin Fu's excitement grew. He wanted to seize the moment—beat the snake and come up with the stick—to inquire about the magic crystal and learning magic.

But Logiel's cold tone left him feeling as if he had been plunged into ice.

"Little guy, Yasen has died on my laboratory bench. Where did you come from?"

Looking at the old face that was both smiling and not smiling, Qin Fu only felt cold; he couldn't feel any warmth at all, and his mind kept turning, considering countermeasures.

His brain seemed to be down. He hesitated for a long time and finally managed only a dry response.

"Archmage Logiel, I don't quite understand what you mean......."

Logiel ignored him and pressed the nearby owl stone statue.

"Click, click."

The mechanism clicked, the bookcase behind him folded back, and a secret room with a vast space appeared before Qin Fu, with a device resembling an operating bed in the middle.

In the dim depths, several cell-like structures stood, from which faint, mournful wails drifted.

Qin Fu looked up a little stiffly and saw a corpse lying motionless on the operating bed.

He forced a smile.

"Archmage Logiel, I don't really understand, this is?"

Logiel now beamed widely.

"Don't you understand, I'm old and need a youthful and energetic body, I need a body to make me immortal, so that I can continue to chase my magical path, whether it's a letter of recommendation or Yasen, you are just my material."

"You wouldn't think that I was really kind enough to spread my recommendation letters everywhere to give you maggots a chance to ascend to the sky."

He slowly got up, walked over to Yasen, and shook his head.

"It's a pity that Yasen's body can't bear my soul. No matter how much I experiment, I can't succeed, and I caught a few test subjects."

"But they can't even bear my experiments. I don't have much time, but fortunately, at this time, you appear."

Qin Fu saw the light shining in Logiel's eyes and backed away in fear. He wanted nothing more than to escape.

His mind was blank now. Only one thought remained: run. He must escape this place, no matter what.

However, before he could turn around, a large hand made of mana instantly grabbed him. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't break free.

As Logiel loomed ever closer, Qin Fu's terror surged. He flinched away with wide, desperate eyes, dread roaring in his ears.

He even began to beg for mercy.

But none of this mattered; Logiel's resolve to survive was unshakable.

Logiel fixed him on the operating bed. Blazing white light shone on his face. Qin Fu struggled in fear. He didn't even care that his wrists and ankles were worn out.

Logiel seized his chin and forced a potion down Qin Fu's throat.

Qin Fu's eyelids grew heavy, and he soon lost consciousness.

And Logiel looked at Qin Fu, who had fallen asleep, as if he were looking at the most perfect work of art in the world.

He picked up his wand and carved rune circuits into Qin Fu's body.

.............

"Hmm."

Qin Fu struggled to get up some dim lights, combined with the painful whimpers of the cell next door, looked particularly terrifying.

"Ah!"

Suddenly, an extremely cold hand grabbed Qin Fu's arm, and Qin Fu subconsciously screamed.

He shook off the hand and retreated, but another reached for him from behind.

Horrified, Qin Fu crawled to the cage's center. In time, he calmed and looked around.

I saw a body in the cage next door, invisible, stretching out its hands to him through the bars, as if struggling for help.

Looking at their appearance, Qin Fu felt a chill run through him and tried to calm down.
