Del smiled at Star, who was on his back, using his shoulder as a pillow as he gave him a piggyback ride back to the house.
Betty sighed and said, "Maybe we should have stopped him before he got this tired."
Del shrugged. "He had a good time. Isn't that what really matters?"
Noh nodded, a wide smile on his face. "He was laughing a lot," Noh glanced warmly at his brother. "It was nice."
Honey wagged her tail and let out a soft bark.
"See, even Honey agrees," Del said, laughing as he gently adjusted Star's position to make sure he stayed comfortable. "A little exhaustion is worth it if he's happy."
Betty smiled gently. "I suppose you're right. It's good to see him enjoying himself."
Del's gaze softened as he brushed a stray strand of hair from Star's face. "He's had a rough couple of weeks. Things like this probably help him feel freer."
The two nodded, quietly reflecting on the gentle peace of the moment, as Star sighed softly in his sleep.
