The police looked in Jiang Yi's direction.
Jiang Yi then lifted her head and met Yu Mei's gaze once more.
A police officer walked over, bent down, and said to Jiang Yi, "Please come over here. Ms. Yu mentioned that two days after Zhang Jianjun's disappearance, you went to find him?"
Jiang Yi nodded, stood up from her seat, and came over to Yu Mei.
Yu Mei sat in the chair, raising her weary head to meet Jiang Yi, who had approached her.
Neither of them spoke.
Jiang Yi also went to a nearby chair and sat down.
The police asked Yu Mei again, "Are you sure the person you mentioned is this lady?"
Yu Mei nodded, "It's her. A few days after my husband went missing, she came to my house looking for him, saying she was with the construction team and had work for my husband."
The police asked Jiang Yi, "Is that accurate?"
