The three girls seriously stared at Shami.
Suddenly, as if facing a life-and-death separation, the joyous atmosphere at the dining table vanished.
Shami stood up, slamming both hands on the table.
"Saili is just working at the tower, isn't she? She usually comes back whenever she has time, roughly once a week, just like a boarding high school student. Why is everyone acting like she's the captain of the Flying Dutchman and can only come ashore once every ten years? Is it because she hasn't been back for the past half month? But I've been keeping in touch with her; she's been busy with some thesis, so she doesn't have time to come home."
The three girls waved their little hands simultaneously.
"That's not the point."
"You and Saili are just holding hands, right? About the same progress as I was a day ago."
"I can't wait for four people any longer."
"Well, since the third one is here, I don't mind a fourth. But there's one condition: make me a permanent shield magic."
