Wayne Adams really had no choice, so he decided to discuss the matter with Edward Anderson.
Edward Anderson didn't expect Wayne Adams to come to him for such a trivial matter.
After Wayne complained about the director's terrible attitude, Edward finally said, "I've always stayed out of Cecelia's work, I'm afraid I can't help you."
"You didn't care before, and you still don't care now? She's being taken advantage of by other men, how can you be so cold-hearted as her brother!" Wayne couldn't believe what he was hearing from Edward.
Edward was speechless; after all, Cecelia was acting for her job, what could he interfere with?
"Fine, just think of me as cold-hearted. You can leave now," Edward replied with a smile.
Wayne was infuriated by his response. He walked to the office door and quickly turned back, getting in Edward's face: "What will it take for you to intervene?"
Edward didn't respond.
Wayne immediately understood: "You want me to get on my knees and beg you?"
