In the end, Lucas Hutt didn't know what drove him to suddenly call Tina Hernandez, demanding to know when she would bring up the divorce with her mother.
Tina was extremely busy and didn't want to waste more time on Lucas. She answered briskly, "I'll talk to my mom about it this weekend."
As for whether it would work, she was unsure herself. The main thing was to get rid of Lucas first; everything else could be settled later.
Before, she had always troubled herself. But now she thought, why not just let it go?
Lucas should be grateful that she had recently encountered so many problems that she didn't have the energy to deal with him, otherwise, she would never have let him off the hook so easily.
Yet, Lucas still had the audacity to push further: "Not good enough, waiting until the weekend is too long. I want you to talk to your mom about it before tomorrow!"
Seeing the meeting room just ahead, Tina didn't have time to bargain with Lucas so she just hung up the phone.
