Everything seemed to be just as it was before, but he always felt that something had changed.
Lucas Hutt went into the bathroom and noticed that Tina Hernandez had left her washcloth behind.
He picked it up, intending to throw it into the trash, but then thought his actions were childish. Since he had no interaction with Tina, why should he be so petty?
So, he put the towel back in its place and used it while showering, thinking to himself that it would be a waste not to use it.
When he went back to bed, he discovered that the pillow and blanket still had the scent of Tina Hernandez lingering on them.
Feeling more and more annoyed, he got up, threw the pillow onto the sofa and replaced the blanket with a brand new one before lying down again.
Perhaps it was just a psychological effect, but even though he had changed the bedding, he still felt the presence of Tina Hernandez's scent and couldn't escape it.
He had a restless night, tossing and turning and unable to sleep.
