Chapter 643 - Chapter 643: Godlike Ascension

As the chaos subsided, the body of the Morningstar crumbling away, a makeshift skeleton made from the massive oak made out of the Monsters that grow across the frame, only the rising moon was left to watch over the tarnished Circle. With so much damage to its Biosphere, the Ozone exposed in full, the Angel watched on as the land reformed, the markings left behind on the ground merged to be that dreadful 'sun' that took the lives within Kabanaska, imprinted in its remains alongside Sozo's new Forest. He'd let himself shatter and scatter, forging the shards into small, fey-like rings that stretch around the damaged land, trying to see what was available to repair. Once it reached the area outside that exposed ozone, they took charge to pull it back, overlapping one another, almost making two atmosphere's in the process. The flaming ball watched as his body worked autonomously, as well as seeing the branches from the tree break off and forge into small shapes, figures recognizable.

They were helping in making such layers of air, with Yata and Neko circling around and giving such air, whilst Kyu and Nue began reinforcement. Zazel hovered around as a meager head to find Harvard, remembering the angel's promise. It didn't took long to find him, watching him aimlessly at the sky, floating over the Circle as if he was far gone. He'd let the shards form back and become his prismatic body again, letting the monsters do such repairs, as he hovered close to him, resting on the opposite side. "You alright, man?" He asked. He looked over and see his emotionless face, still unaffected by such events, worried he was not going to hear him.

His fears subsided once Harvard spoke up. "Could be better..." He'd mutter, looking down and seeing his friend's new form. "...You look pretty cool with those jewels. How did you get that?"

Zazel smiled as he gave praise to him. "Hey, you're not too shabby either! Got the whole royal noble look on yah! Would be nice to have some clothes on this, even if it'd make me perform less." The Angel laughed, yet he saw Harvard not share the same joy. Instead, he'd have his hands express thumbs up, a way to attempt such happiness in his state. It was confusing for most, but Zazel was able to recognize it, his smile still present, albeit softened as he explained himself. "They told me you needed help. Allowed me to be subbed in for their stead. Still feels weird to have this holy stuff considering ah..."

"You're a demon?"

"Exactly! Is that even allowed? For a Demon to rise as an Angel?"

"I've heard a snake did that at one point. Something about Jack the Ripper or whatever."

"...'scuse me?" The prism shimmered as the void-like eyes blinked rapidly, watching as Harvard's body pulsed, showing the different monsters that writhed around, communing in the same way. "...Does that... hurt you?" He'd ask.

"Not really. Even if it did, I doubt I'd care." Harvard would allow the armor to be shown properly, letting Zazel see the many beasts that flowed through, letting him watch as, while they remained compact, they were more than comfortable in their respective area. Almost nuzzled into their spot like a nest. "I made sure they were given a home while I'm in this state. I figured if they were gonna mesh into my soul, I might as well make it nice for them. I made my own brain act as their resort: Beaches, mountains, volcanos. I gave them lots of thoughts so they can use as their habitat. In a way, it allowed them to thrive and be happy. To be able to relax in peace while I use their abilities. You could probably even see that Nuckelavee thing in me building sandcastles with Azathoth over there."

"...Are you saying-"

"Mhm. Mind, body, soul. All of it. I broke every single piece there to fit them all in. I gave them exactly what they want."

Disturbed, Zazel went quiet in his question. "...Why?"

Harvard looked onward to the moon, feeling the cool breeze, now that the biosphere's repaired. While the Ozone was still present, at least it was habitable for those within the Circle, forced to deal with the scarring in the land left behind. "If I'm not allowed to be happy, then the closest I can do is make them happy. You already saw what I did back at home, remember? How I treated my monsters like family? Same thing here. I gave them all they wanted, all to make sure they are happy too. I love them, every single one of them. I don't want them to be sad that I made this choice. I was the one who did it, after all. Even if I hate it, even if it I'm not allowed to be me for a while, I still went for it because its inevitable. I just wish I was able to smile with them while I became this." Zazel began to have black ichor run down his void-like eyes, a detail that Harvard picked up, blankly staring at him again. "Are you crying? I'm sorry if I made you cry. It wasn't my intention, just the truth."

Zazel couldn't keep a straight face, closing his 'eyes' and looking up to the sorrowful moon, the sounds of shards shimmering like wind chimes, cooing softly to the air. "It's okay, man... It's okay..." His voice broke a bit as he spoke, regaining his composure as he'd speak again. "You really went out of your way to love every single monster there, huh? How many are even in there now?"

"Over 200 or so. First couple was through mines and Jesta's, the others were from those in the Bunker. I doubt they'd come up, but I'll let you know when they do. They seem a bit more lively than what we're used to."

"TWO HUNDRED!?"

"Yes?" Harvard looked over, seeing the shock on the Angel, unfazed by how much he held. "Could probably hold more if I had the chance. I'm sorry if this information left you distraught."

"NO! NO! That's so cool! Disturbing and super depressing with how much you had to renovate on... everything, but so cool! ...I do want to ask. Do you think this is enough? For Jesta?" Such a question left Harvard to pause, letting the two relax in the night sky, before slowly having both devolve back to normal, with Harvard's cards slowly emerging out of him and stacked back once more, whilst Zazel regained his demonic body and red eyes. As the two returned, Harvard would give a soft smile at long last, freed from his Cursed Child state.

"It better be."

The two exchanged those smiles, giving each other a fist bump, as the Card Magician was back proper, albeit now with both of their bodies unable to properly move. They closed their eyes, letting the world fly past by, and began to sleep. The souls of the Bunker would carry them back to their friends as repayment for giving them their freedom, and defeating the Tyrant once and for all.
