Chapter 408 - Chapter 408: Cubism, Part 5

"Was that... A new form...?" Bathory would ask, stunned as she'd witness the massive tornado made, watching the J on it be quick on delivering its judgement, the winds taking the shape of knives and cleavers, as they'd go on a rampage at the top of Rubix. She pushed herself back again and again to avoid the strikes, before seeing another compartment, one of which was Stolas battling with his own Mirror. "...No... Is this beast actually using its summoner and allies as ammunition!?" She could hardly believe such a monster would be willing to sacrifice something so much, yet her eyes did not deceive her. As she was transfixed by the fight between the two children, however...

BAM!!! SHIKK!!!

A Hook straight across her face, as well as a blade cleaving her cheek, nearly cutting one of her eyes. Tsukiya was capitalizing on this new shift in battle, quickly aiming for a palm strike to her stomach so that she was shoved into the active tornado. Bathory was losing her ground more and more. She used the blood made from her cut to spill out and act as a personal wall, holding her ground as she kept watch through the liquid, seeing the two Avians duke it out. Talismans were planted up above, the tornado slashing at them to unleash a yokai to tackle her down and pin her into the very lands they fought in.

Kojin.

Half shark, half human, with only their jaws to act as their own face, as they'd coat themselves in streams of water before firing themselves like torpedoes at Bathory, the water solute dissolving the blood, finally pushing her in. Once she arrived at the area, she was only met with the scorching hot sands of Mars, as well as the many stars that circulated around her with Aquarius. "Broaden it! Expand your mind!" Beaux would state, as she'd pierce a hole in her own planet, the sand and dust scattering around as they'd be set to blow, preparing another planetary object in Saturn to create rings from such heat and debris. Stolas, meanwhile, would set up Zodiac Man, as he'd allow his body to be propelled from what was going to come next.

KA-BOOOOOOM!!!!

Bathory immediately had to run away, her umbrella opened up to use the explosion's knockback to push her away farther, holding her legs back so she wouldn't be cooked alive by the impact. As she tried to evade, the Kojin kept invading, as they'd begin to rain down as much as possible in order to bite off and eat the umbrella itself, breaking apart what was already left after the first impact. She recognized that if she doesn't have a way to properly ascend, she would be trapped within the small realms that Rubix has made. She'd switch up her plan and allow the blood around her cheek to create the sigil, seeing the two children set up another attack to push themselves further. "Hold it! Let your wings take shape!!" Beaux cried as she sets up Venus, letting the heat, as well as the sand and dust from Mars left behind on the Rings to create a set of flaming hoops, acting as saws so that she can come close towards the Avian. Stolas, in retaliation, creates the two Canis, attaching them to his hands as he lets them bite into one of such rings, kicking his feet up so that he can hold himself up to the very sky. Her answer has been revealed.

The Kojin would swarm Bathory on all sides, as she'd bite into her hand and expel her blood, propelling her upwards, creating the very same rings and solidifying such sanguine so that they can bite into it. Because of the sheer weight difference in distribution, The Vampiress laughed as she'd be lifting herself up high, detaching herself from the ring as she'd stand on its edge, letting the ring flip as she'd jump, looking down to see what else the children were doing. "Now....YOU STRIKE!!!" Her shout would be coupled with her own talons balled up with Mercury, utilizing pure nothingness, a void ready to consume everything. Stolas, as a response, would let the Zodiac Man flow freely into his own hand, as the two exchanged blows. While such stars would be consumed, because of their sheer amount and the detonation being made, it would start to overpower Mercury, creating something out from nothing. The explosion is the perfect answer for her escape.

"SPACE MAGIC!! ALMAGEST!!!"

As the boy evolved his Final Gambit into its newest stage, as well as letting his body and mind be in synch, letting such pressure blast away along with the detonation, Bathory merely angled herself and used some of the wounds she has to extend and become parachutes, propelling her skyward, aiming for a high kick straight at Tsukiya's face, being blocked by her arms as she'd swat her away. She was finally free, all thanks to the two training Stolas' body to achieve a closer reach at that second stage. "So! How do you feel right now?" Beaux asked, as the dust subsided and she was able to kick herself back up.

The only response she needed to hear was of Stolas' laughter, as he'd lay down on the ground, smiling away. "AWESOME!! This is actually easier than I thought!" He'd shout, as he'd roll his body over.

"Oy, oy. Don't get too cocky. What I gave you is a direct step-by-step process. Being a novice such as yourself, you can't try to take any shortcuts when it comes to this stage."

"Yeah, yeah, don't worry. I know. It feels so weird though... How come I need to link my body and mind to exert that force?"

"Nerves. It's what lets our body move in the first place. Think of the brain like a signal, and the nerves as the small points to expel it out, speakers, basically. When your body is at its peak performance, and then you transfer it into your brain..." She'd pause herself as she'd see a slight side effect, as Stolas would have caught a nosebleed in his first attempt, showing that the brain must've taken damage during his procedure. "...Well, it does that."

Stolas would be a bit scared about the damage wiping his nose and standing up, a stance at the ready. "I'm... gonna have to get used to this, huh?"

"For the first few attempts... yeah. You also got to be careful. Too much exertion of that force can do a serious number in the head. I believe, though, that if your body and mind become one and the same, you shouldn't have to worry about giving yourself brain hemorrhages."

"I see... Thank you." A genuine smile was on the Avian's face, as it finally has a potential chance to reach the same rank as the very King.
