Chapter 379 - Chapter 379: Chase, Part 4

A new Mask.

Closed eye sockets, as if it was sleeping. Its teeth bare and in a disgruntled, groaning expression. Four Nails that surrounds the edges of the mask, as well as two numbers on each cheek, dropping from four to three, the Sigil used to summon Harvard's monsters now saved into its upper right forehead. Blood leaks out from the wound of the nail as the waves and rubble were absorbed into the markings, a summoning being casted as he'd allow one of the monsters to stab into Harvard's head, searching for a potential monster to summon under his command. As they tried such an attempt, the boy would twist his head around to take aim and fire a set of webs, immediately absorbing their energy upon contact. Firing them, however, would cause a strong pain in his molars, seeing that he's forced to try and shut off the nerves if he wishes to fire more, at the cost of nearly killing himself, seeing as his Monster Magic was already being waned thin. He somehow was capable of even planning around one of his monsters before he would even throw an actual attack.

His plans somehow surpassing their own plan, which in of itself was an anticipation of his plan from the get-go.

SHIKK!!!

Despite his struggle, and the effectiveness of the webs sapping away their energy and strength, implanting it in his own body, it sadly wasn't enough, as Jesta would be quick to approach and do the job properly. A quick strike straight into his head, rummaging through his brain, finally pulling out a card as he implants it into the sigil. Thankfully with the new energy, he can recover such devastating damage, as well as creating a spider's thread to take back his card during its summon, yet Jesta would not care. He'd let the boy return the beast into his body again as a massive beam was made, one that made Rubix open itself in order to avoid any further confrontation. A Cackle as the box was made, a spring that bounced to and fro, cheerfully giggling, much to the boys dismay. Fleisher was Jesta's choice. "Ahhh... What a curious creature. Based on its innocent nature and confidence, its magic must be extraordinary, correct?" He'd ask as he'd step back and watch as the monster wrecked havoc at the stage, the curtains quickly squealing as it rolls itself back up, bulging eyes that came out of their faces from the crowd as they saw it run amok. Its cartoonish behavior catching his eye further and further, as he'd approach the beast in its cheer, looking at it, seeing its killing intent, seeing its desire to make Spade into a personal test dummy for a new joke.

"Mask. Off."

SHIKK!!!

One swipe. Such an attack was all that's needed to bring down Fleisher, its face torn off, his Mask of Monsters taking its place, as the once cheerful creature now laid dead before him, its body convulsing and twisting, taking on a new shape. The box was broken almost immediately, with its body now segmented into cards, the smile growing bigger, but the eyes becoming hollowed out. Long arms and curled fingers, a rectangular body, a paper-like build. It felt unrecognizable compared to what it once was. "And now....a new name. You are going to be my strongest Monster after all. With the cards I once held, I believe a fitting name for you will be....'Carta.'" He'd deduce, seeing it now obeying his whim, the cards he once had, the cards he gave to Harvard, now being visible on the monster's body. Harvard would be disheartened, his eyes wide in shock, his voice desperate to scream, yet only silence can escape, as he effortlessly handled not just him, not just his friends, but his monsters as well. He was an entirely different beast, far more superior than any other person he's met. The Ringleader took notice of his distraught, seeing the despair forming in his eyes, as he'd point at his mask. "Oh? You're curious about how I did your summoning? Well, that would be my Mask of Magic. I already wasted one of my nails in this bout, but those nails seem to be just enough. It will reset once our time together ends, so don't worry about me keeping this for long. For now, I want you to take in this moment. You still have so....so much to do, little Hero. I have prepared far more than what you could ever come up with, and said preparations are barely scratching the surface."

Clap! Clap!

Two figures immediately made their way to Jesta's side, both of which were at a similar size to Mollen. Imps, each one with a personalized weapon, a traditional suit in black and white, and the same Comedy Mask they both are forced to don. A Woman with long, black hair, wielding a massive axe, a substance coating the blade, presumably a poison. A man with short, white hair, brandishing a rifle in his hands. The three took a bow as they let it set in that he planned even further, should his original plan would fail. As their vision begin to dim, their bodies growing cold, the monsters coming down from their perch to loom over them, Jesta turned his head and spoke once more. "Now, now... do not worry yourself. We will see each other again soon. Very soon, matter of fact. I just need you four to do the same thing that I did." He'd point at a specific direction, northeast from his current location. "Where you must go to attain whatever strength or magic you deem necessary, will be there. A collection of kingdom's and villages all huddled in a half circle, a potential war on the rise. Omega's Circle. There, you will find one more surprise from me, and potentially, a chance to evolve yourselves further. I will know if you visited those lands once we meet for our climax. After all, a few contracts of mine are placed there, and they are creating a similar idea that I would have for Hell. If you die and be punished to damnation, you'll know where to find me. Sayonara, Harvard..." He'd give a wave as the Ringmaster opened up Rubix's body, utilizing Carta to weaponize a monster from his deck, a sword coming out of its body to cleave it apart with such force. A glowing light that shaped itself to be multiple knights, wielding their own blades and be enhanced by the divine.

Camelot.

Harvard, in his last moments of consciousness, would try to take aim with Lemegeton. He'd fire his bullet, watching the lands carve across, yet he would sadly be knocked out before the shot even showed if it did any effect. "You are not getting away from me... Jesta Spade! I don't care if you're hiding in here, Heaven, Hell, Space, Time, Or whatever the heck is in-between. I will find you. I will kill you. I am not gonna stop going after you... until you draw your last breath." He'd think, struggling to even speak such words due to the pain in his mouth and the energy sapped away. With such thoughts made, he finally drifted off to sleep.
