Chapter 17 - Kenneth's Oath

"Now, gentlemen, don't you think that fighting in this cemetery is disrespectful to the deceased?" comes the voice.

Hearing the voice, everyone's attention shifted towards the air, or rather, towards the voice.

The owner of the voice is currently descending from the air. He is tall, around 6 feet, with a slim body, feminine face, and slightly pointed hair. At a glance, he looks beautiful and charming, but his eyes contain sharpness, with yellow pupils, brows, and hair.

Glancing towards the owner of the voice, many thoughts start to play around in Hiroto's mind. Before coming here, he had checked every authoritative and prominent figure of the country, and the least expected person is now present in front of him.

Seeing the person, even Kenneth is a little shocked. After all, you don't always get to meet the chairman and spokesperson of the awakener guild. He rarely shows up, even during the high table meetings, and now he is here, is the thought in Kenneth's mind.

Seeing the figure descending towards Hiroto, his butler rushed and said, "I greet the air Owen Edmonds."

Listening to his butler's voice, Hiroto gazes out from his thoughts and looks towards Kenneth, who is now around his wife, checking the children.

Now then he confirmed that the person is here due to dispute

" greeting the guest. May I know whom my country is currently serving?" asks Owen.

Seeing that other party is using the country instead of me . Hiroto frown

And Listening to Owen's voice, the butler becomes pale. Now, Owen dragged this matter into politics. There's no coming out; they have to play their cards right. Unlike his master his life is on the edge of knife after all

"Honorable sir, I am the butler of the Sato family, which lies in another country, and here is the person whom I serve, my loyalty, aka Sir Hiroto Sato," introduces the butler.

"Oh, I have heard the Sato family name, but I didn't know they were residing here," says Owen.

Listening to Owen's mocking statements, the butler becomes sure that the other party is messing with them, but he cannot voice it out.

"Sir Owen, I am sorry, but I am here to solve a personal problem. I hope you wouldn't be offended much," this time says Hiroto, being polite for the first time ever since comming here

"Mr. Hiroto, I am here to mediate any disputes occurring here, so I cannot back down now, especially when the guest is getting physical. If you aren't willing to follow the protocol, the government themselves have to participate in this," warns Owen.

Now completely enraged, Hiroto thinks, "Now this is all messed up. First those bastards, then that b**ch, and now this wh**e-like person. Why is everyone ruining my day today?"

But since the situation isn't in his hand anymore he tried to come up with his story.

"Sir Owen, we would like to talk in private, as this is a concerning matter for my master," says the butler.

"Of course. I have prepared everything in advance. Let's move there," replies Owen, signaling the butler Leo.

Understanding the meaning behind this, he informs his master, who was listening to their conversation all the time.

"After all, they are high rankers. Even if the conversation is 200 meters apart, they wouldn't have difficulty listening if they concentrate."

In the white villa, three figures are currently sitting facing each other.

"So, Mr. Hiroto, I hope you can be clear about all this," says Owen.

Listening to Owen, Hiroto opens his mouth , "Sir Owen, how much do you know about our family Sato? Even if they are in another country, I am sure you know something. Ain't I right?"

"To your question, I know the general outline. Like your father, aka the head of the Sato family, has 4 children, including you, and there are elders who decides the course of action and next head ." replies Owen.

"Yes, sir. Then I won't go into details. First, my main motive to come here is the children of my elder sister and the third daughter of the head," says Hiroto.

Listening to Hiroto's words, Kenneth's eyes widen. He never thought of this possibility in a millennium.

"I knew she was an immigrant and from a different country, but I never knew she would be from an influential family," comments Owen. "I thought all your family members are within the same house."

"For the outer world, that is the perception, but in our home, my sister was disowned by our father 25 years ago, and then she settled here," explains Hiroto.

Since no other than main family know of this it didn't go to the public and only big figures in our country knew.

"What was the reason for disowning her?" asks Kenneth in a serious tone.

Her marriage. In our country, there is a simple concept of higher society and lower society. When someone from a higher society marries someone from a lower heritage or slums, their relation is called impure in our family," says Hiroto, thinking angrily, "Why the heck do you need to know? Let's just be done. If only I had family support, I wouldn't have to answer this w***e anything."

"I understand what you are saying, sir, but verbal is not the only way to prove your statement," comments Owen.

"I understand, sir, but for now, I have nothing. Can you give me some time to prepare? I want to take them back to the family again," requests Hiroto.

I....

"I object to your question," says Kenneth, cutting Owen with rage mixed in his tone. "Even if it's true that you both are related, I simply cannot hand over the children to someone who disowned his sister and brother-in-law."

"What do you mean, Sir Kenneth?" comes the voice of Hiroto's butler.

Looking at Hiroto, Kenneth says, "I can't give the children to complete strangers just because they say they have the same blood."

Hiroto tries to interrupt but is shut down by Kenneth. After a while, Owen says, "Kenneth, I understand your concern, but I have no authority over this. After all, this may drag many political disputes. Let the high table and supreme judges decide this."

"And Mr. Hiroto, I hope you will be staying here for a while. We will prepare accommodations for your group," adds Owen.

"Sure, we wouldn't mind," they say and soon leave the villa.

In the room, the only person is Kenneth and Owen.

"I don't know why you helped me back then, but I am saying again, I will not back down from the children, Owen," says Kenneth.

Seeing the fury and seriousness in Kenneth's eyes, Owen nods.

"I understand your concern, Kenneth. Even then, I should leave for the guild too. You can stay here as long as you want," says Owen and disappears instantly.

Soon, he . "Even if it costs me my life, they will remain in the safe house," thinks Kenneth while too leaving the villa

At the black car, there are two familiar people sitting side by side.

"Sir Hiroto, what should we do now?" asks one of them.

"Hmm... How many resources do we have currently? Show me the details," says Hiroto in a monotonous tone.

"Sure, here are the details."

Eyeing the hologram in front of him.

"Deploy the assassin crew."

"For whom, sir?"

"For the children."

"But, sir, the head wi—"

"Say what I do. I want results by the morning; otherwise, you will be in their place."

"I understand, sir."
