Rumble!
Just before dawn, thunder suddenly crashed. Gu Jinli jumped in fright, and Qin San Lang hurriedly pulled her into his arms, murmuring softly, "It's fine, it's just autumn thunder."
It had been unusually hot these few days around the Mid-Autumn Festival, so he'd already guessed there would be a thunderstorm.
Gu Jinli kept her eyes closed and mumbled, "We're not in the south. How is it still thundering after the Mid-Autumn Festival?"
"I'm guessing this is probably the last thunderstorm of the year. After the autumn rain it'll turn cold and there won't be any more thunder." Qin San Lang chuckled, coaxing her, "Sleep. On rainy days you're allowed to sleep in. No need to be afraid of getting laughed at for not getting up."
Once before, he'd worn her out so badly she couldn't get up, and Aunt Niu and the others had joked with some dirty talk, making her furious with embarrassment.
