Sinai hadn't spoken yet when Norton turned his head: "Which department and year are you?"
"Huh?" Charlotte looked surprised, reacting instinctively, "Mechanical Department, class of 2022!"
Norton nodded: "I'll contact the school to give you an extra scholarship."
Upon hearing this, Sinai recalled something: "Aren't you going back to teach?"
"Not anymore." Norton replied nonchalantly, "I told Dekel to say I died and to erect a tombstone in the campus center."
Sinai: "..."
She felt a bit of sympathy for this vice-principal.
Charlotte, having heard this, reacted: "???"
What did she hear?
Dekel is the vice-principal's name; all the students know, but ninety-nine percent of them have never seen the vice-principal.
Yet, those professors are all respectful towards the vice-principal. In all of Norton University, there's only one person who dares to call him by name directly.
Charlotte was unsure how she managed to return to the experimental base, feeling completely out of it.
