Chapter 359: The New Staff Recruitment Plan
"Boss! The store's gotten so big! And… are we going to start serving hotpot?!"
No sooner had Qi Han closed the door than Fu Ya eagerly rushed over, her voice full of excitement.
Among the staff, she was the only one deeply familiar with the Star Luo City Han Shi branch. So when she saw that the Han Shi in Shrek City now had an additional floor, she immediately ran upstairs.
Just one glance at the setup on the second floor—the special tables meant for hotpot—told her all she needed to know.
The Shrek City branch of Han Shi was finally going to serve hotpot!
It had been a while since Fu Ya had eaten hotpot, and she was practically drooling at the thought.
According to Qin Yao, back when the boss was still in Star Luo City, the three of them would have one hotpot meal and one regular gourmet meal every workday.
That sounded amazing—after all, the hotpot was endlessly customizable. You could eat it every day and never get tired of it!
Now that the Shrek branch had hotpot too, maybe they could start rotating like that here as well.
However, because Qi Han had moved the announcement board outside without letting the staff see its contents, Fu Ya didn't yet know that today's surprise was more than just hotpot.
"Yes, the hotpot will likely launch tomorrow," Qi Han said with a small smile. "Everyone gather around—I've got some announcements to make."
The group quickly assembled, curiosity written all over their faces.
Looking at the four female staff members and Ye Lingqing standing before him, Qi Han smiled even more warmly. "We've got a few things to go over, so let's take them one at a time."
"First up is what Fu Ya just mentioned. We'll be launching hotpot at the Shrek City branch too. Since you've all spoken with the Qin sisters and Ke Ke before, I'm sure you're familiar with what hotpot is, so I won't explain it here."
Seeing how the three women, aside from Fu Ya, kept stealing glances at the second floor, Qi Han chuckled. "Don't worry, you can go take a look after I finish. The second floor is decorated quite differently from the first and looks great."
"Hotpot won't be available today. Only a few new dishes are being launched today. Hotpot—and the other things I'm about to mention—will start tomorrow."
"So Fu Ya, as well as our delivery team members Xinyan and Yunruo, make sure to inform customers about this in advance."
"Got it, Boss!" the three women nodded in unison, ready for the task.
"Now that we've covered hotpot, let's talk about breakfast and late-night service."
Breakfast?
Late-night service?
All four women and Ye Lingqing looked confused.
Breakfast was easy enough to understand—he probably meant some kind of morning meal?
But… what exactly was "late-night service"?
"Breakfast will be served from 7 to 9 a.m., and the late-night menu from 9 to 11 p.m.," Qi Han explained with a smile. "Breakfast is just the morning meal. As for the late-night menu—it's food meant for customers who can't sleep and get a bit hungry at night. Both of these will also launch tomorrow."
Hearing that, everyone nodded in understanding.
But Fu Ya's expression soon turned troubled. "Boss, those hours…"
"I know," Qi Han replied with a reassuring smile. "You and Shuang are still students at Shrek Academy. Both the breakfast and late-night hours clash with your class and cultivation schedules, so you won't be required to work during those times."
Fu Ya and Ying Shuang exchanged a look of relief.
Shrek Academy often had morning classes, making it hard for them to show up for breakfast shifts except occasionally. And while they didn't have classes at night, most students used that time for cultivation.
"Also, none of the new services—breakfast, late-night meals, or hotpot—will offer delivery. So we don't need many extra hands."
Upon hearing this, Ping Xinyan and Ji Yunruo both looked visibly relieved.
Ping Xinyan was a classic night owl—she'd rather sleep in every morning, and would still be rolling around in bed by the time breakfast hours started.
As for Ji Yunruo, she had developed a disciplined biological clock since childhood and was used to going to bed early and waking up early. So late-night shifts would be tough for her.

"But in that case, if none of us are needed for breakfast or night shifts… are we just leaving it all to Lingqing?" asked Ying Shuang, a bit concerned.
"Not quite." Qi Han smiled slightly. "That brings me to the next item on the agenda."

Since breakfast would mainly consist of various noodle dishes—and this was a valuable learning opportunity—Qi Han didn't want to waste Ye Lingqing's talents on mere table service, so an additional server was necessary.
The breakfast menu featured many ready-made items, so one server should suffice.
"Lunch and dinner service will remain unchanged. Deliveries should stay more or less the same, so there's no need to hire new delivery staff. But as for waitstaff…" Qi Han glanced at Fu Ya, "Fu Ya, with how big the first floor is now, can you and Pururu manage it together?"
Fu Ya looked at the 30 tables on the first floor and nodded. "No problem."
At the Star Luo branch, the first floor had been handled by Qin Yue and Pururu. Here, Fu Ya and Pururu could handle it just as well.
"Then we just need one more server to handle hotpot service on the second floor."
For the hotpot, one server would be enough too.
"As for the late-night menu… that'll probably require one server as well."
Late-night service involved quite a few dishes. Qi Han figured Ye Lingqing would be interested in learning them, and since it would be busier, he'd also need a kitchen assistant.
So one server would be needed for the dining area.
"So all in all, we need one server for breakfast, one for late-night, and one for the second-floor hotpot. Of course, if we find someone who's available during all three time slots, one new hire would be enough."
Fu Ya and Ying Shuang nodded in understanding.
Just then, Ping Xinyan's eyes lit up as an idea struck her.
She tugged on Ji Yunruo's sleeve and whispered, "Yunruo, do you want to be a server?"
"Huh?" Ji Yunruo blinked. "Aren't we delivery girls?"
"I mean…" Ping Xinyan's big eyes sparkled mischievously. "You're an early riser—you could take the breakfast shift. I stay up late, so I could take the night shift."

Yunruo blinked again. She'd never thought of it like that before, but now that Xinyan said it, it actually made a lot of sense.
Yeah, just because they were delivery staff didn't mean they couldn't also be servers.
"And if we do that, we'll get the server uniforms too!" Ping Xinyan's eyes lit up even more. While the delivery outfits were cool, her girly heart secretly longed for the cute maid-style server uniforms.
