Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 Meetings Amongst Nations Part 2

Authors Notice:

Hi there guys, apologies for not posting a chapter earlier as y'all expected. As I wanted to make each and every chapters more special.

And speaking of special. I know that koa, otherwise known as five is the main character of the story. But the reason as to why he hasn't appeared back on the story is because I not only want to make the fic about him, but I wanted to also write about others, such as the various Spartans, not just him. I mean it'd be kind of boring to write about one person's history and not others like that of blue and green team.

Which is why I'm going to be doing my best to think and come up with an excellent history for each of the characters of this STORY. Which is why I've been holding back from just posting chapters earlier then expected.

Second. I'm going to be doing some world building as well. I mean what's a story without a good history of each worlds I write about. As that is why I'm going to be making a widespread story of every world or planet, or species from each planet or fic I'm writing. Hope y'all understand that.

THIRD. If you have any questions, please ask right away, as I'll be happy to answer them.

Also, whoever is the first six people to drop a comment, I'll be writing an oc Spartan about you on this fic. Cross my finger 🤞🏽.

ENJOY

Gate 2

Location Texas Border

El Paso

Green Team

P.O.V.

It did not take long for the unsc forces to defeat the last remaining imperials that had invaded earth. Although that didn't mean they were alone, as the Texans along with the help of the emergency workers such as national guards, police officers were in on the action as well.

Nonetheless, the Texans were mostly thankful that the space faring folks came to their aid, as they feared they would eventually be overwhelmed by the amount of imperials and their allies that continuously kept coming through the gate.

Regarding the US military support that Texas had requested by the governor, they had arrived a little too late as the imperials and their allies had already been thoroughly defeated by the unsc and texans. Although the enemies may have been defeated, the majority of them were disbanded throughout Texas because they realized they had already lost the war to the unsc forces and the steadfast will of the Texans.

However the individuals themselves, the majority of them were recuperating from the aftermath of the conflict, regardless of whether they were emergency personnel or members of the armed forces. Luckily, with the incoming help from the arriving us military aid, they were able to heal from the previous conflict.

Additionally, as time went on, everyone in El Paso was in a rash hysterical temper. All they could think about was how glad they were that the fight was finally over. Although they were unable to express the same sentiments for those who had died in the conflict, they were nonetheless happy that the continuous conflict had come to an end.

Amidst the remnants of the long-gone battleground, the green team was currently searching for any indications of the remaining adversaries.

A couple of the dead imperials were passed by Asta Sierra-017, one of the aforementioned members of the green team. From the other side of her, she could see one of them crawling. Understanding why he was crawling with his arms, asta saw that most of the imperial's legs we're barely hanging on.

As she approached the man, the imperial stopped in his tracks and turned to see her approaching him in her armored boots. After seeing her, the imperial turned around and tried to crawl more quickly than before, but he was tragically stopped when he was stopped in his tracks by another member of the green team.

Recognizing the same armored creature that had massacred the majority of his colleagues, the imperial gasped in terror. He reached for the closest weapon in his vicinity and reached for a nearby sword, but Robert, showing no remorse, trampled on his right arm and ended the imperial's life with a second stomp on his head, easily crushing it.

A second individual approached the two Spartans after witnessing Robert's actions. "Was that really necessary?" A fellow marine officer inquired as to why he could not feel sorry for the imperial.

"Of course it is. The man didn't show any mercy when he and his lackey's killed civilians." Robert-025 replied, unconcerned with the marine's words.

"I suppose you are right about that." The marine says not disagreeing with the Spartan. He was about to speak again but was distracted when someone else had called over to the Spartan's.

Both asta and Robert turned their head's to the right, and right there they saw the newest member of their team, Spartan grant of the fourth generation.

After clicking the safety of his rifle on, Robert then spoke out in question. "Tedra, what is it you got for us?"

"Sir, there are a few problems with the 21st century. I think you and asta would need to see it." Spartan tedra says as she has had to speed run her way to them.

"You guys go on ahead. I and the boy's and girls will handle the clean up here." The marine told the Spartan's as he commanded one of the privates to execute any surviving imperial's.

"Thank you." Asta says as she strolled towards the rookie spartan.

After exchanging quick glances, Robert and Asta turned back to face Tedra and nodded, allowing her to guide them through the information she had come to share.

_______________

Grace Sierra-093 was currently in the middle of a dispute of words between a couple of twenty first century folks who were arguing with a marine.

One of the marines stood in between a groups of border patrols and various migrants who were standing in the middle of a river. Unfortunately, the migrants was pleasing to be led into the surface dirt ground, a ground that was that of the Texas lands. Unfortunately, the numbers of migrants weren't able to walk onto the texas due to their strict rules of any undocumented people from entering in.

"This is your last chance! You can either stay up here yourself or leave those people in the river." A Border patrol agent says in an orderly tone having to repeat himself to the unsc soldier.

The marine refusing to follow the man's command instead held onto one migrant woman's arm so that she and the other doesn't lose their footings.

"What the hell do you mean leave them in the river! Cant you see they'll drown in the water!... We can't just leave them in the damn waters!" The marine says yelling back at the border patrol agent in a pique of anger as he was slightly anger at the twenty first century man's lack of empathy.

"They are not permitted to enter our property, as I previously stated." The patrol officer answered while slowly examining their surroundings. "Texas has already had enough issues with the last event, as you can see."

"I Understand that they can't come onto your land. But this are people! They deserve to live got damn it!" The marine told the border agent, his frustration directed at the man.

With his patience starting to thin out, the border agent was deciding to just give the unsc marine one last warning. However, he heard a footsteps coming from behind him. Before he turns to look, the man notices that the marine appears to be at ease, as if he is relieved to see someone.

"Is there a problem here sir." An old and familiar voice spoke up.

The border agent turned from where he was standing and saw two extremely green armored giants whose heights dwarfed everyone elses. In the center of the group was another armored individual wearing a very greyish blue armor of average height of six foot nine.

But the person in the lead was the one the border agent could not help but think of, as though he had seen her from somewhere. The older looking lady seemed to be in her late fifties. Even though she was in that old of an age, she made it up for her slim hourglass figure. Her outfit was that of a clear lab coat that flaps once a while as the wind blows by them slightly. In her hand was a tablet of sort, one that the man couldn't figure out whether it was an apple company made or not, due to its thin flat size of it.

The border patrol agent saw the woman handing her tablet over to one of her Spartans. Afterwards the woman then made two steps forth and stopped three feet away from the twenty first century man.

"Hello there. My name is doctor Catherine Halsey. Or you can just call me Halsey for short." The doctor says with her armed reaching towards the surprised man.

"The name's jack. Jack everason." The slightly awestruck man replied barely able to contain the sudden emotion within himself.

"Well Mr. Averason. If you wouldn't mind I would like to speak with your commander, or leader that is." Halsey says as she then peered over at the marine. "Its ok private, you can bring them on up here."

"Yes ma'am!" The marine responded as he began leading the migrants up on the solid ground of Texas.

"What! You can't that!" Jack sputtered out but was stopped when his commander arrived on the scene.

"It's okay Jack." An older looking man says strolling towards them as he was followed by couple of people. "I've given this lady permission to allow them into Texas."

"Into Texas? Sir, I don't get it?" Jack inquired not getting on with what the older man spoke of.

"I've made a deal with your border czar here, that I'll be taking in the migrants that are being denied entry into the USA." Answered Halsey, as she has other plans for the migrants themselves.

"Doctor. What exactly is it you'll be doing with this people?" Grace sierra-093 asked not liking the idea Halsey has for this people.

Halsey glanced at Robert ushering for him to explain the plan to sierra-093.

Grace looked at Robert after she was told to turn off her external come so that no one could hear them speaking in private. Once after she was well informed of the plans the doctor had for the migrants, grace solemnly nodded at the doctor in pure silence.

"Halsey, if I may. Could we speak in private please." The border czar asked as he and the doctor walked over to a pretty large tent.

"Of course." Answered Halsey as she then turned to green team. "Spartan's, I want you to assist the Marines in taking care of this people. Spartan tedra, your with me."

"Yes ma'am." Tedra responded in an orderly tone.

__________

Catherine Halsey

P.O.V.

"Okay Mr. Czar. What is it that you wish to speak with me of?" Halsey asked as she was looking at the man and his groups questioningly.

"Straight to the point." The man uttered in amusement to the woman's straightforwardness as he admired that about people. "Right here in my right is captain Allan karvan of Texas police department. To the left of my side is officer Cruz and officer Helen."

"Pleasure to meet you ma'am." Officer Cruz spoke shaking hands with the woman.

"The pleasure is mine Ms. Cruz." Responded Halsey as she peered over to captain Allan. "And to you as well Mr. Karvan."

"Pleased to meet too as well Ms. Halsey." Captain Allan replied returning the same gesture.

Once after the group had introduced one another to each other, the doctor then inquisitively spoke in an inquire for the sole reason as to why the border czar brought them here for.

"Now that we have introduced ourselves. Can you tell me why you have asked me to be here?" Halsey inquired.

The three individual glances over at each other pondering if whether of what they had long discussed would be the wisest idea they'll be making. But knowing the unsc, they know that their space faring counterpart would be one of the only other people that would help them out, beside the united state.

"Well ma'am its about the current state of Texas. Or more specifically, el paso. We've suffered a long and arduous battle against the imperial's and it's allies ever since they invaded us in the first two days." Says captain Allan hoping that the doctor would understand their circumstances that they are currently in.

Halsey rubbed the bottom of her chin as she continued to ponder the captain's statement, unable to think of the best way to respond to the man's inquiry. Nonetheless, she realized right away that in order for the unsc to maintain control of the gate, she would need to make some sort of deal with the state of Texas.

"And what of the united state? Huh?" Uttered Halsey as she stared at the three individuals infront of her. "What makes you think they are not going to get involved in the Texas situation? They will definitely want to knock on your front door to see what they can do about the gate's appearance as well as that of the imperials and their allies."

"Well ma'am, thats the thing. You see, both the Governor of Texas and the President of the United States had requested a meeting with the UNSC leader." Captain Allan told the doctor hoping for the woman's words of confirmation.

"Okay. And have they made a date and time of when they'd want this meeting to be?" asked Halsey, who was quite preoccupied with some issues related to Vahrian.

"Yes ma'am." Captain Allen responded pleased to hear that the doctor had conceded to the request as he then accepted a decent looking laptop from one of the guards behind him. "Right here are the president and leaders of the United Nations; they have previously requested to speak with you."

Following a brief period of tapping on the laptop, the captain moved aside to give the nation's leaders a chance to observe Dr. Halsey once after the screen had lit on.

As the NATO's members laid eyes upon Catherine each and every one of them began wondering who she was and that if their minds was playing tricks thinking if the spartan standing behind her was that of a robot or not without regard to who she is.

Nonetheless that wasn't the main point as to why they were watching, as the doctor was who they wished to speak with.

"Hello doctor. It is nice to see you." The president of France spoke with formality of a welcoming manner.

Catherine Halsey was about to speak but was sadly interrupted when a commotion erupted from outside.

"You ladies and gentlemen are going to have to wait a moment please. Just give me a sec please." Halsey told the group of nations leaders.

After she told them so, Halsey turned to tedra and motioned for her to check what it was that's causing a ruckus from the outside.

The Spartan nodded in confirmation and and made her way towards the entrance. Once she exited the tent she could be heard by Halsey, captain Allan and the others talking to another person, who Halsey immediately picked up was one of her Spartan's.

After what seemed like an hour, the Spartan walked back inside the tent seeing the eager faces among the people waiting to hear what she had to say.

"What is it spartan?" Halsey asked noticing that spartan tedra was glancing at each of the captain and his companions.

Tedra made her way towards the doctor. Once she did, the spartan does something that those of the twenty first century hadn't expected. She holstered her rifle in the back of her armor locking it up tight in its magnetic holster. Seconds after that a hissing sound occurred as mists of smokes left the top part of her armor whereas it dispersed into thin air. Slowly afterwards she then reached up with both arms and held onto her helmet and gradually pulls off of her head revealing her face to those within the vicinity of the tent.

"Wow, I've never thought I'd see a space ginger!" Officer Cruz said whispering to the border czar and captain Allan.

With her helmet in locked in the left side of her armored waist tedra then leaned her head down near to Catherine's ear so that the others inside the room wouldn't hear her.

"Ma'am. It's her, it's five's sister " Tedra says having to speak in an even quieter sound of her voice.

"Rose!" Muttered Halsey underneath her breathe for she hadn't expected such news of koa's older sister to be here. "What is she doing here? Has she asked you anything of serious matters?"

"No, but she has requested to speak with you ma'am. Or I can have her removed from here." Spartan tedra said replying back quietly.

"Tell her that I said she needs to wait outside. I have got more issues to handle inside." Said Halsey but immediately stopped in her track. "No, actually, take her to our already-established campsite; I will meet her there."

Planet: Vahrian

Three Hours Before Entry Through Gate 2

[Unsc Base]

Rose Lopez

P.O.V.

In Vahrian atmosphere, thousands of feet above the ground, an unsc D-97 Albatross was descending toward the unsc base location. Within the military vessel, individuals from Trevelyan were gazing down at the planet Vahrian with wonder and admiration.

They were among'st the numerous UEG civilians from Trevelyan who accepted the military officials' invitation to visit Vahrian for a sightseeing excursion.

Luckily for them they were able to be given this chance as the higher ups like that of the vice admiral and captain Whitcomb had given it to them, as they would soon start to question the whereabout of their current situations.

The vice admiral and the captain had ordered the construction of a small town in order to keep them at a sufficiently stable and peaceful level. Given that the doctor, Catherine Halsey, predicted that they would all be stranded here on this uncharted territory for some time, the organization plans for this town to be the first home for the United Earth's government people.

Inside the military vessel, individuals were discussing trivial topics with each other. But not all of them were as talkative as the other, as one certain woman was seen walking by herself through the halls of the ship.

She continued on in her tracks till she finally stops infront of a closed door. Waiting for it to opened, the ever so patient lady then passed through it after it slid apart from itself giving a pretty large group of people room to walk on by.

Once the woman finally made it to her destination she took a seat in her selected seat and slumped down on it with clear satisfaction.

The woman let out a deep sigh of relief not knowing that a man was suddenly woken up by her action.

"Might I say that you are quite the heavy sound of a woman." A Man says speaking causing the woman to let out a chuckle.

"Then you'll have to forgive me. I'm not quite the type of person to remain quiet for a while." The woman says in reply to the man's remark.

The man smiled as he thought that the woman was quite the look, even with how old she looked then he was. "The name's shane. This lady behind me is Jane. Big guy over there is Robert."

The woman while sitting in her spot remained silenced for the time being. Based solely on her observations, she could infer that these individuals were somewhat hidden from the view of Trevelyan's average citizens.

Fortunately for her, when one of them, a woman named Jane, moved to grab her duffle bag, her tag hung as she leaned forward slightly. "You three are spartan's, aren't you?" The woman says lowering her voice as she saw the tag read A-203.

The three large individuals glances at one another in mere defeat as they thought no one wouldn't notice.

"Yes, we are." Shane says in a defeated tone of his voice as he then replied in a quip. "What gave it away?"

The woman smiled as she then reached inside her shirt and pulled out her own tag. "Im one as well. But, i wouldn't say I'm the same as the three of you."

"You guessed right Ms. Lopez." Jane said dryly. "However, Im assuming your a fourth generation."

"She's basically a spartan four." Robert-A057 Muttered under his breathe. "No need to drag on enough."

"Affirmative." The woman says with an amused look. "The name's rose, rose Lopez."

Name: Rose

Last Name: Lopez

Eyes: Light Brown

Age: 71 Years old

Skin Color: Light tann Brown

Hair: Dark Black

Height: 6ft 2 ( 6ft 5 with armor)

Weight: 246 Ib ( 1000 Ib with armor)

__________

When the woman spoke her actual full name, she managed to have caught the three individuals giving each other looks of sudden expression as if they immediately caught onto something she hadn't.

"What is it that you three got that i don't?" Rose Lopez inquired as she believes they are privy to something she is not.

"Your last name. Its just sounds familiar." Replied Robert only to receive a smack on the shoulder from Jane.

"Familiar, as in what?" Rose says who couldn't help but ask away.

"He means that another person within our branch had the same one. Nothing of relation to you or anything." Jane spoke seeing the woman returning her focus onto her own bag.

"I don't blame you." Responded rose in understanding of the matter. "You know, its funny you have the same one."

"What do you mean by that?" Shane asked feeling the tension within their vicinity beginning to rise.

"My brother. Who is of a twin to my youngest sister Elizabeth. He was only five years old when he was taken from the very place, a place that I had last seen him." Rose says as she is aware of what has happened to him.

"Im sorry for what had happened to him. Maybe he is still out there, back in unsc space." Shane spoke expressing his sympathy to cheer the sudden mournful woman.

"No need to. Besides, I don't think he's one of you Spartan's threes." Replied rose in an attempt to hide her forlorn mood. "He was a Spartan 2. Last time I've ever saw him was when he left on his own in a mission onboard infinity... I Couldn't even get the chance of saying goodbye to him."

The three individuals all looked at one another thinking that it was quite the news to them that this lady, who is of course the older sister of five; knew of the circumstances that her brother had went through. Maybe it was because she took was also a Spartan from the fourth generation. But the fact she knew of what happened to five was something they hadn't expected to hear from her.

"If you knew of the things your brother went through. Why join the program?" Jane asked straight forwardly as she knew there wasn't no point in lying to her face.

"What do you think." Rose says without a hint of fear, concern or apprehension as she stated at Jane. "I Joined to find my brother, after the failed promise I made to him on that day... Forgive me, i-i just hate reminiscing about the past sometimes."

"No need to, I as well as this two idiots next to me know what it's like to lose loved one's." Jane responded as she then spoke in an attempt to keep the mood at a light-hearted way. "However, we did met him once. Well alongside one other Spartan from his generation."

Smiling, rose couldn't help but asked away as she understood full well what the Spartan threes have been through as well. "Oh really, I'd like to hear that.

"He was an asshole when we first met him." Robert added as he remembered the one time five forced the three of them and alpha company to be chased by a squad of highly trained Marines through the jungle of onyx. "However, he was always there for us when we needed him the most."

"Big bastard even went court marshall in order to cover us from a crime that we weren't responsible for." Uttered Jane who received a slight chuckle from rose.

"Correct me if I'm wrong. Was the death of a significant figure, which had been orchestrated by an Oni agent, the reason he went to court Marshall?" Rose asked them as she was of course informed of it by a certain spartan washout.

"Yes. Apparently, I and these two here were requested by admiral by the high officials to guard the ambassador back on meridian... Unfortunately, we were blinded by the true intentions behind whoever planned the death of the ambassador. With the squad of Marines that were stationed there, they were eventually killed in the midst of a battle. Not by plasma of any kind, but by human made weapons."

"Basically it was a set up from the very beginning. And surprisingly, the ambassador knew of it as well. All except us." Jane said nonchalantly as she could feel the others looking at her as she loaded an m6c pistol. "The poor guy had no other choice but to follow the orders of a certain oni agent. Only reason he didn't try telling us was his family being held hostage on the other side of the galaxy."

"Luckily, your brother, or five that is, came to the rescue and forced one of the oni agent within meridian to spill the beans." Added Shane as he and the group could see our of the window that they were slowly making their way down on solid ground.

"Big bastard knew then and there that the oni agent responsible for the ambassador's death would come after us all without a hint of doubt, so five took care of in his own hands and put the oni scoundrel out of commission." Robert told rose in a quip.

"Heh, it's good to know that koa was willing to go that far to protect his friends." Rose says glad that her brother at least still has a good heart.

"Hey, no need to be all sad and mournful. Five wouldn't want you to cry for him. He's not much of a fan of being weak." Remarked Robert as he and the group overheard a loud voice speaking through the speaker within the unsc aircraft.

["Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Please have your belongings, friends and families prepared to leave once we make land within the ten minutes."]

"Welp, there goes our talk." Shane muttered as he faked a yawn, despite the fact that as a Spartan three, he was not so easily worn out.

"Would you care to join us?" Jane asked as she looked down at rose in an inquiry.

Rose was about to refuse the offer, but after some thought, she changed her mind and nodded. "Sure, why not."

__________

[Unsc Base]

It did not take long for Rose and the three other Spartans to arrive at the base, as once the craft landed, every civilian waited for the albatross' back hangar to open.

Once it does everybody was met with a beautiful sight of vahrian's skies and incredibly large landmasses. Though, they've seen much bigger and better one back on trevelyan, they all still stared out into the extravagant green lands and Forest across the place. What made the sight a lot more sightseeing for them all was the odd looking people with ears.

However, what differentiate them from that of anyone from the twenty sixth century; was the outfit they wore. But be that as it may, the newly arriving folks didn't mind it and continues on in their path while eyeing their surroundings, though they wouldn't say the same for the elvish looking people.

Rose Lopez and her three tall Spartan companions were strolling through the newly built town. Although some may argue that it was still under construction. Overall, thanks to unsc and ueg's construction efforts, they were able to improve the condition of nearly every building that people saw.

One building that nearly everyone around the established town saw as they pass by one corner of the town towers over every buildings. It had the height of a monster, standing three hundred ninety six feet along with a width of a hundred twenty.

Some, such as the Vahrian natives, would occasionally stop and stare up at the building, unable to believe such a thing could be possible, while others would make a story out of it thinking that this sky people would eventually spread the knowledge of this monsterous building to their builders one day.

"You know, I've never thought i'd get the chance to see what our people perceive as fictional beings." Jane murmured under her breath as her doubts about the existence of the elves roaming the town began to fade.

"It don't really matter at all. I mean if you think about it. We thought aliens didn't exist. Until the covenant knocked on our front doors in harvest. Alongside with space zombies." Robert remarked as he mentioned the ever so threatening flood.

"For once I agree with you. But this, it is something we have not dealt with before, as I believe we will see more than just elves." Uttered Shane as he and the group took a left turn in corner.

Unfortunately, as the four of them made that turn, Rose was caught off guard when someone came in hard and collided with her out of nowhere.

"Ahhh!" Voiced a child as she rubbed her head thinking that she had ran into a wall. "What the heck"

Looking down, rose saw that the person seemed familiar until her pupils widened slightly in mere surprise. "Morgan, what-"

"Auntie is that you!" Another familiar voice spoke causing rose and the Spartans to glanced her way.

"Jacob, Daley. What are you three doing here?" Rose demanded as she had thought her nieces and nephew were with their mother Elizabeth.

"Oh, grandma is keeping watch over us." Morgan let out a cheerful laugh as she looked back and saw her grandmother walking towards them, who was accompanied by an elven child skipping beside her.

Name: Morgan

Last Name: Keyes

Eyes: Dark Brown

Age: 14 years old

Skin Color: Light Brown

Hair: Black

Height: 5 ft 11

Weight: 193 Ib

__________

"Hello hun, it's good to see you return!" Spoke Sandra Lopez who was glad to see her eldest daughter.

"Hello to you too as well mom... Who might this be?" Asked rose peering down to the elven kid.

"Oh this, let me introduce you to alera. She's the daughter of an elven couple I helped not long ago. The parents are receiving treatment in the recently constructed hospital, so do not worry." Sandra informed her daughter as she ushered for the young elven to step forth and meet rose.

"H-Hel-hello, my name is alera." The child spoke clearly why of the woman in front of her.

Getting down on one knee, rose made sure to set herself at eye level with the four foot kid. "Hello alera, my name is rose, rose Lopez. Daughter of the woman over there " the Spartan four uttered as she was obviously referring to Sandra.

Alera stopped for a moment and took a glance at Sandra and rose back and forth. "You are a lot taller then your mother."

Rose along with her mother let out a coerce of chuckle when they heard that from alera. The mother and daughter duo never thought of the elevn girl's statement that much, but after being reminded of it, they guessed it wouldn't be the only time they'll hear of it.

"Well child, that's what happened when you have kids that skips height at a certain age. Who am I kidding, you might skip me as well." Said a Hypothesized Sandra as she then finally noticed the three Spartans standing quietly behind rose.

"I Remember you three. Your one of the Spartans that Carol told me about."

Shane being the more social one out of the group unclasps his arms as he made two steps forth and shook hands with the woman. "I Believe you do ma'am. My name is Shane, the other two are Spartan Jane and Robert."

"A Pleasure to meet you ma'am!" Robert and Jane uttered altogether.

"The pleasure is all mine. I am just grateful that there are people out there who have been there for Ko-" Sandra came to a halt when she realized she had almost spoken five's true name. "I mean, it is nice that you have all been there for him."

"You shouldn't be to embarrassed to speak his name Ms. Lopez. I'm sure five wouldn't care if you say his name by accident." Uttered a nonchalant Robert not knowing that Jane shot him a slight glance for his ill-advised of words.

"I Guess you got a point there young man... Five? Does he always go for that name?" Inquired and interested Sandra.

"Yes, as a matter of fact. He'd would always prefer the number rather then just the name." Spoke Jane answering Sandra's inquiry's. "But overall that, he wouldn't care about being with either name or number."

Somehow Sandra was a bit saddened when she heard that her son would prefer the number five other then his actual name. Maybe it's because she knew of the circumstances he went through as a Spartan cadet, or maybe it was due to all the years in the battlefield at that young of an age.

Internally, she relaxed, not wanting to drown in regret and grief over what had happened to him, and sighed deeply. "Perhaps your right Mr. Robert, I'm just glad that five is in a better place."

When Morgan heard that, she glances up at her grandmother over what she had just said. "He's not dead grandma!"

The three Spartans including that of rose and Sandra all stared at Morgan in what she said.

Rose on the other hand knelt down as she had hated to repeat this to her nieces and nephew over and over again ever since they were barely eight years old.

"Sweety, I know you don't believe your father is dead. But it's the truth, he's in heaven. He's up there with your grandpa keyes. But that does not mean he is truly gone; he is still alive and will always be in our memories and hearts, just like any of you." Rose says hating herself for reminding the kids of their fathers passing.

"But he's not dead." Morgan repeated as she was slightly bothered that her grandmother and auntie was doubting her. "Aunty, you know my Father's serial numbers right?"

"Zero zero five." Said Robert spelling out the serial number of koa.

"Yes that's it. Zero zero five." Morgan's twin brother Jacob added in.

"Exactly! Look. I know you guys don't believe me, but I, Jacob and Daley were wondering in the middle of one of the nearby towns just a few miles away from the unsc base. We were just fooling around while exploring a town near a ship docking area by the ocean... That's when I noticed a Spartan."

"A Spartan you say!" Uttered Jane, as she Shane and robert was starting to become drawn in by Morgan's statement.

"Yes, a Spartan. He had the same serial number." Daley spoke up as she point to the left side of her shirt with her finger. "In his left chest armor, the same ole number, zero zero five was stamped in it."

"Yeah, he had the same old colored green armor, like that of the master chief, but doughty darker of green."

Sandra who was silenced for the moment remained still. She couldn't believe what her grand kids had told them, not just yet. However, with what they informed her and the others of, she wanted to make sure if it was true.

"Hun, where was this Spartan last seen. Where did you see him?" Sandra asked wanting to know if it was truly her son.

"And why haven't you told your mother and aunt Elizabeth about this?" Rose, who detested holding onto false hope, asked the children as she could not resist deviating from the harsh reality.

"People, perhaps you should let the kids finish before you bombard them with questions." Robert told the family as even he, Jane and Shane were undoubtedly a bit shocked of the sudden storm of a news about five possibility of being alive.

"I last- oh I mean, we last saw him heading off north west with a groups of people. Some of them seem to have worn clothes like twenty sixth century folks. However, there was a lady dressed in a Gothic like outfit and a dwarf, along with an elven being. I couldn't say the same about a kid and her weird pet."

Sandra and rose both looked at each other, if what the kids say is true, then they would need to find koa, as they knew from then and there that the children weren't lying. Especially with the way the kids seemed to have described five.

"We need to find him." Sandra says as she was overwhelmed with hope to have finally meet her long dead son after all this years.

"Mom, w-

"I'm Afraid you can't ma'am." A Deep and familiar voice says as it caught the attention of the group of four Spartans.

When Sandra turned to see who it was that said that, she all of a sudden began expressed anger of who it is she was seeing in front of her. "Mendez, what the hell are you doing here! No what, scratch that. Did you know? And please do not try to lie to me, because I am pretty damn sure you should be the last to know of what the kids have said!"

Mendez with two other Spartans besides him eventually came to a stop six feet away from Sandra and the others.

With a hand, he brought his right arm up and motioned for Sandra to stop. "Sandra, I understand that you are going through something harsh, but please, I advised you to calm down."

"Calm down! Calm down! After what you and Halsey did to the children, you of all people have no right to tell me to Calm down." Uttered an angry Sandra having to lower her voice as their were people roaming the place around them.

"Mom, please, being angry won't fix anything at all." Rose says setting a hand on her right shoulder. "However, Franklin mendez, did you know about this as well?"

Franklin knowing that if he confirmed their question, the daughter and mother duo would probably add more hate towards him and that of Halsey.

"Yes, I and Halsey. As well as the others knew of sierra zero zero five status of being alive... However, we also thought that he had since long died back on unsc space above Earth's atmosphere. We only ever found out about five being alive through Carol fawely."

"She knew as well. How come Carol didn't tell us about this!" Sandra says a bit mad that the pilot hadn't told her and the others of five being alive.

A Deep sigh exited from Franklin as he knows how the family must've felt of being lied to by friends and families. "It's because of protocol, I'm sure you two mother and daughter know how it works. Look, hate me and Halsey all you want, but know this, we had just found out about this news from this week."

"And I'm guessing you two were planning to keep it hiddened from prying ears." Sandra asked him as she was familiar with the work of the unsc and that of oni.

Franklin lowered his head in defeat knowing that Sandra was right. "Yes, but you have to understand. We-

Sandra scuffs putting a hand up stopping the old man on his track. "Please Franklin, just stop... I've worked with oni and the unsc before, I know how all you people work. And know this, I'm going to find my son, with or without the help of your Spartans and the unsc."

After Sandra had spoken, she and the kids, as well as that of alera walked off onto another direction opposite from Mendez and the Spartan's.

"Mom!" Called out rose as she was about to stop her mother.

Before rose could left to join Sandra, Franklin spoke up, halting her in her steps. "Rose, please. I Know how you and your mother must be going through, but know this, I and Halsey are willing to speak with you and Sandra. If you two ever got anything in need of help of, call us."

Rose breathed in and out having to keep herself at a steady level. "Will do so Mendez."

"Alright. At least let those three join you and your mother." Franklin says motioning to team Wolfpack.

"Why us?" Shane asked not expecting him and his quad to be picked of all people when there are a duo of Spartan two's standing next to Mendez.

"You three wanted a vacation. Here's vacation. Your armors are prepped and ready a the base within that building, go there and get get started... I Have a feeling Sandra and rose will skip ahead of you three. Get going Spartan's."

Having no other choice but answer to Mendez call, the trio nodded in confirmation and responded. "YES SIR!"

Franklin Mendez

P.O.V.

"Are you sure it was wise to let her go after koa sir?" Hazel Sierra-A302 spoke watching the retreating form of team Wolfpack.

Franklin Mendez replied nonchalantly, as he understood that it was best to let Sandra go after koa. "Yes Hazel, it's better that way. I know how Sandra is and can be. They'll be no other way I can restrain her from looking for her son koa. Trust me, words or actions wouldn't be able to stop someone like her."

Another one of the Spartan next to Mendez shifted as he veered down at the shorter old man. "Then we should inform Doctor Halsey of this. She would want to know of the lady being here. Especially since she's the mother of Spartan koa."

A Smile formed in Franklin's face as he turned and strolled off into another direction as he then responded to the Spartan. "Who do you think advised her to come down here."

Spartan Kayla Aiken chuckles as she hadn't thought of that. "I'm guessing Halsey did sir?"

"Correct. Now come on Spartan's. We have meeting with chief rithinaian and his wife." Responded Franklin as he and the two Spartans made their way to a warthog.
