Chapter 777 - Chapter 778: The New King

"Will you bow to me now, or shall I defeat you first, then have you submit?" Muria looked at the Yin Desolation giant who had recognized his identity, smiling as he extended his hand. A 200-meter-long Hell War Spear appeared in his grasp.

"Although it's a bit offensive, I'd prefer to be defeated by you first, then bow afterward."

Even though Muria was pointing the spear directly at him, causing a sharp pain between his brows as if he were about to be split apart, and though he hadn't felt the threat of death in a long time, Mang Gu showed no fear. After all, how could he not fight a battle with the legendary Titan?

"As expected from one destined to serve the Titans." Seeing that the Yin Desolation giant, barely half his size, dared challenge him, Muria couldn't help but praise him softly.

In truth, there was no real contest here. If it came down to physical strength, size, weapons, and sheer power, Mang Gu was bound to lose. He had no chance of victory. Yet, despite that, he was still eager to challenge Muria, which impressed the Titan.

"In that case, as you wish, I'll show you the strength of the master you will soon serve."

Muria dismissed his war spear and retracted his divine armor into his body. Since he was going to subdue this giant purely through brute force, and convince him to serve as his subordinate, he had to offer a fair fight that would make Mang Gu accept defeat without resentment.

Winning with superior weapons and indestructible armor would leave his opponent feeling unconvinced, even if he won. So, to make Mang Gu submit wholeheartedly, Muria suppressed his size and physique to match his opponent's.

"Come, Mang Gu!"

"Lord Titan, be careful." Seeing Muria dismiss his weapons and even reduce his size to match him, Mang Gu's expression softened. However, his resolve hardened. To honor his respect for the Titan, Mang Gu decided to go all out in this battle, aiming for nothing less than victory.

A massive totem of a giant bird of prey rose from Mang Gu, transforming into a ferocious bird with a wingspan of over 100 meters. It swooped toward Muria with sharp, cutting energy, as if it were a living creature.

"This isn't how you fight an equal." Muria smiled as he watched the fierce bird dive toward him. He pointed a finger, and over ten massive bolts of golden lightning erupted from his body. They intertwined in midair, forming a majestic golden roc.

With a piercing cry, the golden roc engaged the bird of prey totem in a brutal clash. Within just a few exchanges, the golden lightning roc shattered the bird totem.

The golden roc soared triumphantly, crying out as if it possessed a will of its own. Then it disintegrated back into golden lightning, returning to Muria, a testament to his mastery over his own power.

"As expected of a Titan!" Mang Gu marveled as he watched his carefully cultivated bird totem get destroyed with such ease. He had never faced anyone who could crush his totems so effortlessly.

Moreover, it seemed that Muria's roc was not a true totem spirit like his, but merely a concentrated form of power, different from his self-sustaining totems.

"If one totem can't work, then how about all of them?" Mang Gu released all his totem spirits. Instantly, the scene from his entrance reappeared, with thirteen giant beasts surrounding him, roaring and snarling at Muria before charging forward.

"This sort of trick is fine for a warm-up, but it's not a real fighting method," Muria remarked. This time, he didn't employ any flashy techniques. He simply threw a punch, and a golden wave of energy shot out, splitting into thirteen beams. Each beam matched the power of the totem spirits, instantly obliterating them.

"Now, let's have a real fight." After vanquishing the totem spirits, Muria dove down, delivering a powerful kick to Mang Gu, sending him crashing into the ground.

Boom! Mang Gu's body was driven into the earth in a V-shape, accompanied by a visible shockwave, leaving a massive crater.

"Get up and keep fighting." Muria raised a whirlwind, scattering the dust from the crater. He looked down at Mang Gu, who was staggering to his feet.

"Lord Titan, may I ask, what percentage of your true strength are you using right now?"

"About 30 percent," Muria responded with a slight smile.

"I see."

"Are you feeling discouraged?" Muria, standing tall, addressed the injured Yin Desolation giant. "If so, kneel now and submit."

"Lord, as your future follower, I want to display my courage and strength. When I have exhausted all my power, then I will kneel."

"Still want to fight?" Muria's expression grew serious. He couldn't help but admire Mang Gu's resolve and spirit. If he weren't a Titan, this giant would never yield, no matter how overmatched.

...

"What is this thing? Can anyone tell me?" On the other side of the massive iron curtain that divided the Yin Desolation, a black-haired, elderly Yin Desolation giant with faint wrinkles on his face roared like an enraged lion.

"I don't know. I've never heard of or seen anything like this," replied a bear-like Yin Desolation giant standing beside him, scratching his head in confusion.

"The old ones have scoured all the ancient records from the era of the Titans' glory, and they couldn't find anything like this. It's the first time such a wall has appeared in our world."

The third Yin Desolation giant, who had a thoughtful look on his face, made a bold guess, "Perhaps this is—"

"Shut up! It's only been 10,000 years! We're still far from 20,000! Those beings can't possibly return this early!" the elder lion-like giant barked, though a flicker of fear crossed his eyes. For when those two beings descended, their world would once again be unified, and there would be no more rebellion.

"We don't understand those supreme beings at all. How can we judge when they'll return based on past experience?" the bear-like giant countered, his thick arm bigger than most Yin Desolation giants' legs.

"Enough of that! Let's focus on how to take down this wall. If it stays here, the Nine Phoenix Dynasty will lose half its territory," the lion-like giant commanded.

"Let me see how hard this wall is. Can it withstand my fist?" The bear-like giant stepped forward, pulled back his hand to his waist, and delivered a powerful punch against the sky-high light wall.

Boom! The massive giant was instantly sent flying, a cloud of dust and debris trailing him as he crashed into the ground, creating a trench stretching thousands of meters.

"Hiss! That recoil was strong!" The giant stood up from the trench, his arm twisted and mangled.

"How could it not break? Even a 10,000-meter-tall mountain would shatter under that punch!" He examined the wall where he had struck, disbelief written on his face.

"Of course it wouldn't break. If it could, why go through all the effort to set up such a vast wall?"

"I refuse to believe it. This wall can't extend infinitely into the sky. We'll just fly over it!" another Yin Desolation giant yelled in defiance before leaping into the air, leaving a visible shockwave behind.

"How can it be this high?" Even after flying tens of thousands of meters, so high that the ground below was no longer visible, the shining wall still stood, blocking his path.

"If the sky doesn't work, then what about underground?" As the giant descended, frustrated, he set his sights on the earth below.

He began frantically digging beneath the wall, but no matter how deep he went, the wall followed him, extending downward.

"We can't break it with brute force, and we can't get around it. We're stuck." The three Yin Desolation giants wore grim expressions.

"There's no such thing as an unbreakable wall. If we can't break it, it only means we're not strong enough."

"Still in doubt? The existence of this wall proves that one of those mighty beings has already descended. There's no way something like this exists in our world."

At those words, the lion-like elder slumped in spirit, his body hunching over. "Let's return and report to the Nine Phoenix King. If we can't destroy this barrier, we must prepare to submit to the new ruler of this world."

"Submit to the new king? A Titan, huh? Fine. As long as he can defeat me, I'll follow him." The bear-like Yin Desolation giant shrugged, not caring in the slightest, a hint of excitement flashing in his eyes.

"Fool, shut up!"
