Chapter 11 - The Past (3)

Three whole days went by like a flash but Annabelle was yet to be found.
Her mother was stuck in bed. She had been bed ridden since her only daughter went missing and hasn't been found.
Jason visited with his family every day. The quiet but cheerful boy had been gloomy. He had grown lean within that period. He spent his nights thinking about Annabelle. He felt extremely guilty.
It was afternoon and the Dunlop family came to visit as usual.
Jason ran upstairs into Annabelle's parents room. He knelt down beside Beatrice's Bed and held her. " How are you my dear " Beatrice said trying as much as possible to smile.
Jason nodded. " Am sorry " He said as a tear rolled down his cheeks. " Jason, my dear, don't say anything just lay beside your aunt Beatrice okay " Beatrice lightly smiled to calm the boy down. Jason obediently laid beside Beatrice, still holding her hands.
Both were very silent but not the kind of awkward silence.
" Beatrice, Beatrice " Jeffrey barged into the room. " What is it " Beatrice whispered.
" Annabelle has been found " he said breaking into a smile. " Really " Beatrice sat up.
" Is it true uncle " Jason also sat up abruptly.
" Yes, we were able to track her down after so many days " Jeffrey couldn't hide his joy.
" Quickly let's go get her " Beatrice tried to stand up but couldn't. " Beatrice stay home and let me go get her " Jeffrey held onto her and tried to convince her as he saw how she struggled to get up.
" No, am not staying in this house, am coming and nothing is going to stop me " Beatrice said and mastered up strength to get up and she did.


After about 2 hours drive out of the City, the Watson couple and their bodyguards arrived at a warehouse.
They came with the police following right behind them.
The police were going to enter the warehouse and check if everything is alright before the rest came in.
As soon as the police gave them the go ahead to enter, the couple came in followed by their entourage.
" I found the girl " one of the police shouted from the other side.
The Watson couple wasted no time as they made their way to where the voice was.
As soon as they saw their daughter, they stood frozen.
" Oh Anna " Beatrice couldn't hold her tears anymore and they fell uncontrollably.
