Baby Dear came before him, and Ethan picked her up in his Arms. She licked his hands gently, and through the mental link between them, she spoke with him, "Father".
"Hmm, Father"? Ethan's face twitched with this certain development.
[Gen: Well, Congratulations, master, you became a father.] Said Gen in a sarcastic tone.
"What, Father? Don't joke around like that, Gen. I am not even an adult yet, I am only 3 years old. Even in my previous life I didn't even have any love interest".
[Well, in your past life the women who showed interest and tried to seduce you, you killed them. So do you even suppose to get a love interest with that behavior.]
"Well, I thought maybe she is seducing me so that she can assassinate me. You know, in my line of work as an assassin, I can't trust anyone, so I tried to avoid women and even kill them if I found them a little bit suspicious. Well, maybe in this life I can give someone a chance to be my partner.". Said Ethan with an awkward smile.
"Well, it is time for sunrise so let's just hunt some creatures to fill my empty blood points and collect some cores".
After killing some more beasts, Ethan used the Pre-Location Teleportation card and retrun back in his room.
Meanwhile in the World of Abyss
After ending their communication with God kings, all Demon Lords started going back to their Places. Demon Lord of Slaughter asked Demon Lord of Necromancy to stay for a while. After everyone one gone, the Demon Lord of Slaughter got up from his seat and came toward the chair on which the Demon Lord of Necromancy was sitting and stood before him.
"Well done, Necromancer. Not only did you get some clues regarding this situation, but you were also able to create conflict and disunity among the Gods. Those arrogant fools only thought about present benefit instead of future consequences. The Goddess of Wealth and Fortune not only had future eyesight, but she also had another incredible authority, which was luck. She was responsible for the Good luck and great fortune of the Gods, and now with her gone, these gods cut their own legs with their own hands, which is laughable." Said Demon Lord of Slaughter with a wide grim on his face.
"Well, desperation makes people lose their sanity easily. When a person is dying from thirst they are even ready to drink poisoned water, just to get momentary relief. I just give a little push and they are the ones who through themself in the trench". Said Necromancer with a smile from his skull.
Demon Lord of Slaughter smiled and gently put his hand on his Skull and said, "You have a great job, but remember to never use such tactics to create any division in Demon society, or you will not be able to face the consequences of your actions". After saying that Demon lord of Slaughter removed his hand from his skull and left the place.
Necromaner watched with a smile as the Demon Lord of Slaughter left his place, but after he left, his smile became twisted in anger. Many red coloured cracks started forming on his skull. This happened just beacuse of a genlte touch of the Demon Lord of Slaughter. It was a warning to him to never cross the line and not to bring any harm to Abyss World.
"Hmm, so you still fully trust me after so many years of dedicated service, demon lord. It is me to whom you don't trust, or you don't trust anyone in the first place. We both are Demon Lords, but even then, the disparity between our powers is still large". Necromaner muttered under his breath.
Meanwhile in the World of Trascendence
The Goddesses of Life and Nature brought the Goddess of Wealth and Fortune into his Divine Castle to recover.
"I am sorry, Felecia, I was unable to protect you". Said the Goddess of Life and Nature while crying.
"I know Eve, but what is written in destiny is bound to happen, even Us as Gods can't alter it. We all have to pay the price and have to redeem for bad deeds someday, today was my day and this is my Redemption". Said Felecia with a tired smile on her face.
Goddess of Life and Nature, whose name was Eve, spoke in a crying voice, "But why only you have to bear the burden of Sins for which we all the Gods were responsible".
"Well, not all Gods my dear. You were an exception. You were always an exception. You were the only one who was against our idea and Goals. You were just caught in collateral damage which was done by us. You were the closest to mother and you were the one who felt the most pain during separation from Mother.
I think I am not the last one who is being punished, for us all both gods and demons, a greater punishment is coming, and we have to face it. I think our punishment already started when Ezekiel attacked both Demons and Gods and gave both our worlds a great setback, and now these new anomalies are going to finish his work". Said Felecia with a bitter smile on his face.
On the mention of Ezekiel, Eve became silent for a few moments. She has complicated feelings toward him. On one side, he was the greatest enemy whom both Gods and Demons hate, but on the other side, she actually admired him. Throughout his life, he has always avoided hurting innocent people. Protected weak, accepted beings who were rejected by society. He had done endless good deeds. Even though he was a Demon prince, he did things which should only a holy saint can do.
"Do you know Eve ? Maybe lossing sight is not a bad thing, it actually opened my mind towards new possibilities. I suddenly started to think if Ezekiel was really a demon's champion?, was it possible that he was actually mother's Champion. Even after his death, the organization he had set up is still walking toward a single goal, to form a society free from both Godly and Demonic influence. Doesn't it match the same goal that mother had for eons?". Said Felecia with a thoughtful expression.
Eve was stunned by her remark, "Are you saying that Mother was behind all this? It is impossible for her. She had become so weak after the Great Exile, she can't directly speak with any being, so how can she be behind this?".
"Well, indeed, she can't communicate with others on her own, but other people still can communicate with her. Like how prayers of our devoted worshippers reach us even when we don't know about them, in the same way, someone's zealot prayer can reach up to her and it can establish communication with both parties. Well, it was up to Motherher to reply to them, but I think she communicated with him.
Divine and Demonic energy were like fire and water; they can't coexist. Divine energy was poison for demonic beings, and at the same time, Demonic energy is poison for Divine beings. It can even shatter souls, but Ezekiel was able to fight for many hours while using both energies, which should be impossible even for few seconds. So it is possible that someone strong was holding his soul together while a clash between Divine and Demonic energy was happening, and who can stabilize both energies except for the mother from whom both Energies were originated".
Eve was stunned by Felecia's speculations. "So should we tell other Gods about these speculations". Asked Eve.
"No, it is just a speculation, and it will only create more chaos, and I don't even know what these desperate bastards will do next". Said Felecia.
"So what are we going to do next". Asked Eve.
"Well, I think we can't rely on Anyone, not even on Divine Son. We should select our separate champions who can act on our behalf. I think it's finally time for the Revival of Legacy Families". Fecelia spoke with great determination and his statement stunned Eve.
