As a goblin sorcerer, Saixike knew their magic had been perfected through countless generations. He didn't expect Feng Ruisi's mighty spell, the Amyna Beam, to be enhanced by a young sorcerer who had only just seen their magic.
Qiao Yunshan, aware of the spell's power, knew altering its internal structure wasn't something an ordinary sorcerer could do. Careless changes could destabilise the spell, rendering it useless. Yet, Gu Yi's disciple understood the spell quickly and enhanced its power. It was unbelievable.
Qiao Yunshan looked at Wang Yang and whispered, "This kid might be even more formidable than I thought."
"Feng Ruisi, attack!" Saixike shouted, realising Feng Ruisi was at a disadvantage. He couldn't accept his disciple losing so quickly.
Feng Ruisi, regaining his focus, began chanting another spell. Despite admiring Wang Yang, he couldn't forget that Wang Yang was his opponent now.
Complex beams of light gathered around his staff, moving in a strange pattern, gradually forming an ice spear that multiplied into countless ice spears. These spears gleamed like diamonds, radiating a deadly aura.
Seeing Feng Ruisi use this spell, Saixike smiled again.
Qiao Yunshan became tense. "That's Crystal Cold Storm! I didn't expect Saixike to master such a powerful large-scale spell."
"Yes, this is one of the goblins' most powerful spells. I doubt your disciple can withstand it," Saixike boasted to Gu Yi.
Gu Yi remained calm. "Your magic may be powerful, but that doesn't mean it can defeat my disciple."
"Oh, you're too confident in your disciple just because he blocked one spell. There's no way he can withstand this attack!" Saixike scoffed.
Gu Yi glanced at Saixike. "What if he does withstand it?"
Saixike, hearing Gu Yi's confidence, snorted. "If he withstands it, I'll acknowledge him as my master, and admit my inferiority!"
Even Saixike couldn't easily block this spell. While he admitted Wang Yang was strong, he didn't believe Wang Yang could withstand this attack. He was all in now.
"If you call my disciple master, you'll have to call me grandmaster," Gu Yi teased with a smile.
"Do you think your disciple has already won?" Saixike glared at Gu Yi, disliking her attitude.
"We'll see. Just be prepared to call me grandmaster," Gu Yi responded.
Qiao Yunshan watched with interest. Although he didn't understand Gu Yi's confidence, the duel between these young sorcerers intrigued him.
As Feng Ruisi launched the Crystal Cold Storm, the weather in the Mirror Dimension changed. The calm space filled with a chilling wind, and countless ice spears shot out, forming a massive storm heading straight for Wang Yang.
The ice spears, capable of piercing through the most challenging alloys, would destroy a planet if they hit. The destructive power was overwhelming.
Saixike couldn't believe Gu Yi's disciple could block this. Even powerful defensive magic from Kamar-Taj had its limits, and this attack was beyond them.
Yet, Wang Yang made no move to defend himself.
"This spell is impressive," Wang Yang commented, raising his hand and unleashing a gust of Vatuum's Wind.
The moment the ice spears met Vatuum's Wind, they shattered into countless fragments, falling like snowflakes. Feng Ruisi, seeing this, was stunned. His powerful spell had been nullified effortlessly.
Saixike was equally shocked. "Impossible! He couldn't block that unscathed! Damn it, Gu Yi, this isn't your disciple. He's some ancient monster you found!"
Saixike couldn't accept what he saw. He felt the power of Feng Ruisi's magic, and yet, Wang Yang blocked it with a mere gesture. How could Gu Yi's disciple be this much stronger?
"Saixike, you wanted this duel. You must accept the outcome," Gu Yi said calmly.
"No way! This can't be your disciple! How could he be so strong unless he started learning magic before birth?" Saixike protested.
"Then you've never seen a true prodigy. My disciple is a true genius," Gu Yi responded smoothly.
Saixike was speechless. He couldn't believe someone so young could have such powerful magical skills, but everything pointed to this being true.
Gu Yi's disciple was an extraordinary anomaly.
Saixike glanced at Wang Yang, who was studying the ice fragments, showing interest in the magic.
Gu Yi shook her head, feeling a mix of emotions. Saixike glared at Gu Yi, realisation dawning.
"You did this on purpose!" Saixike said. Gu Yi's confidence earlier now made sense; she knew her disciple's strength all along.
"What do you mean, on purpose? You wanted the duel, not me. I even suggested not letting my disciple fight. Isn't that right, Qiao Yunshan?" Gu Yi turned to Qiao Yunshan.
Qiao Yunshan nodded, holding back laughter. Seeing Qiao Yunshan's expression, Saixike's face darkened.
"You didn't tell me your disciple was this strong. He's stronger than us!" Saixike accused, now convinced Gu Yi had set him up.
"I told you not to fight, but you insisted. Besides, you never asked about his strength," Gu Yi replied, feigning innocence.
"I agree with Gu Yi. You thought your disciple would win, so you wanted the duel," Qiao Yunshan laughed.
Saixike had been overconfident, believing Gu Yi's disciple to be weak. He had hoped his disciple could secure a victory, but he failed.
"You don't understand. Gu Yi set me up with her strong disciple!" Saixike complained, glaring at Gu Yi and Qiao Yunshan.
Saixike turned to Wang Yang, whose seemingly ordinary magical aura belied his true power. How could they compete against that?
