Chapter 273 - Has the Universe Yielded?

As the observers sensed the dissipating destructive energy, they resumed their observations and saw the Celestial leader pinned in the void.

"It seems the Celestials have truly reached a dead end. We were right to stay non-interventionist," one observer remarked. "Interfering with the universe's development can lead to these situations."

While they were powerful and seldom provoked, it didn't mean they were invincible. The Celestials had now faced annihilation, their leader resorting to curses against Wang Yang.

"They're using curses? This powerful human mage might be in big trouble now," another observer commented. They didn't care about the Celestials' fate but were concerned about the mage who the Celestial leader had cursed.

The curse invoked universal laws, something even deities might struggle to resist. Yet this human seemed indifferent, surprising the observers who watched him calmly endure the curse.

Wang Yang, amidst the universal law fluctuations, felt these changes and awaited a significant transformation. The curse's power spread extensively, even breaching the universe's barriers.

Such intense cosmic fluctuations were rare, affecting countless civilisations that started investigating the cause. However, Earth's changes were minimal due to magical protection and Nick Fury's efforts to maintain calm.

Wang Yang, standing in the void, felt increasingly rejected by the universe as the law fluctuations intensified. Any universe energy he attempted to harness met resistance. This cosmic separation made it impossible to use universal energy.

The cosmic fluctuations ceased after an indeterminate amount of time, and the laws stabilised.

"The curse is complete," Wang Yang observed. The universe had settled, confirming his rejection of its energies. "A mage being rejected by the universe is rare. It's a peculiar experience."

Though he could no longer draw upon universal energies, Wang Yang wasn't concerned. Most mages would be devastated, but he could generate magic without them.

The observers, still watching, were conflicted. Wang Yang's strength had been extraordinary; now, bound by such a curse, his future seemed grim.

"What will this curse do?" Bodico asked his elders, not having seen many curses.

A stern observer sighed, "Though he's a powerful mage, he likely won't survive this curse."

Bodico was puzzled, "Why wouldn't he survive? He's strong, isn't he?"

"You're young, Bodico. This curse makes the universe reject him. We live in the universe; without it, we can't survive. Even gods can't resist this," the elder explained.

"It's absurd! How could gods fear universal laws?" Bodico protested.

"Indeed, but it's the truth. Like fish needing water and humans needing oxygen, we can't leave the universe. If rejected, he'd be increasingly oppressed until he has no place," another elder added.

Bodico began to understand, "So he can still act now because he's strong. When he weakens, the universe will suppress him to death."

"Exactly. Every cosmic change could aim to kill him," the elder confirmed.

"Like that spaceship wreckage?" one observer pointed, seeing debris heading towards Wang Yang despite the void.

"Indeed. While this won't harm him, it's a sign," the elder noted.

Bodico watched the wreckage, noticing it wasn't targeting Wang Yang. He turned to the elder, "Seems it didn't align with your theory."

The elder, puzzled, murmured, "Why hasn't the universe attacked him yet? Rejection should aim to eliminate him."

"Perhaps he's too powerful, even for the universe's will," another observer suggested.

Bodico was sceptical, "Can someone be that strong, resisting the universe's will?"

The observers pondered, unsure of the situation. They didn't realise Wang Yang, being an outsider to this universe, wasn't subject to its laws. The curse, meant to bind him, was ineffective.

"Could it be...?" One observer suddenly spoke, eyes wide in realisation.

"What did you realize?" the others asked.

"His strength must be so overwhelming that even the universe's will fears him," the observer concluded, stunned.

Though difficult to believe, it seemed the only explanation. They had never seen anyone so powerful that the universe itself yielded, a feat even gods couldn't achieve.
