Nathan Fawcett came to pick up Anne Sutton. She was exhausted and sat in the car, her face a mask of fatigue.
Nathan Fawcett asked, "A long day?"
"I had a surgery," Anne Sutton said. "I'm a little sleepy."
Nathan Fawcett looked at her and said, "You've worked hard."
Anne Sutton asked, "Where's Ian?"
"He went back with Caleb Summers," Nathan Fawcett said. "Didn't I come here to pick you up? That little rascal was being so noisy, so I had them go back first."
"Ian is not noisy at all!"
"But I wanted to talk to you. Wouldn't it be inconvenient with him around?" He was starting to feel like his son was a third wheel.
Anne Sutton looked at Nathan Fawcett, the corners of her lips curving up. "You're unbelievable... Oh, right, Charles Prescott came by today!"
"He came to see you?"
"He saw the news about you inheriting the Linden Family. He knows you're Ethan Linden now!"
"..." Nathan Fawcett said, "So he finally figured it out. How did he react?"
