Chapter 13 - Charybdis

'Today is going to be a complicated day...' I thought to myself, as I stared at that huge beast flying through the sky, along with its dozens of monsters flying around it. Seriously, it wasn't that long ago that we faced such a disaster...

Anyway, how did I get here? If I'm not mistaken, this day had started in a peaceful and calm way, when I was walking around the city, enjoying my morning. I had finally completed Hakurou-sensei's training, and achieved a mastery of the sword that even he recognized.

Until... A Dryad, the guardian species of the forest, came to warn us of a problem involving a monster that had long ago been sealed away by a hero. That was the Son of Veldora.

And things escalated. After a meeting with the Dryad to find out more about the situation, we headed towards a road recently built by the Orcs. Apparently that was where the battle would take place.

After a while of waiting, we arrived at the moment we now were, the giant creature was up in the sky, staring down at us. This aura was very similar to that of the Demon Lord Geld. Could it be that this creature is also a Demon Lord? I thought to myself.

And well, apparently this time the master won't be taking part in the battle, or maybe he will? I can't say exactly, but from what I saw, Rimuru-sama had told him to go into the forest. The reason? I have no idea.

In particular, I have no idea what's going on. I'm completely clueless about the situation, the only thing I know is that I need to block Charybdis' Magic Block.

After the creature had arrived and the master had entered the forest, the battle had begun. The first move was Benimaru-sama's, or rather mine? After all, I had to block Charybdis' abilities. Well, right after that came Benimaru-sama's attack, who hit the monster with a huge Hell Flare.

That attack had knocked out two megalodons, or rather, turned them into dust. At that moment I-, no, we all thought the battle would be easy... Until we saw the first big challenge of the battle.

Charybdis, every time we killed one of his monsters, he resurfaced with three more. In short, he had a very large arsenal of creatures with him. Well, even though the quantity was remarkable, they still weren't very resistant to magic, so the battle was still easy.

Logically, the battle raged on, with us holding the advantage over the Son of Veldora.

Then came the first attack from Charybdis, who, although weakened, was very intimidating. He was firing his scales towards our army, those scales carried great power in them, each one was covered in an absurd electrical energy, as if they were thunder.

That blow was about to hit Shion-san, but thanks to Rimuru-sama that blow was successfully nullified. Rimuru-sama's ability had absorbed Charybdis' scales, but it was still clear that he was feeling some discomfort.

Maybe the battle against him won't be as easy as it seemed? I asked myself again.

We spent some time going back and forth. With Shuna-sama helping to recover the wounded, of course I was helping her. Benimaru-sama was in charge of the troops. Reinforcements from the nation of Dwargon had also arrived. And thanks to all this, we were able to withstand the whole battle...

After all this time, Charybdis didn't seem to be getting tired at all. That was annoying, even after everyone's efforts we weren't able to hurt him even once?

But then some good news came from Rimuru-sama: (Everyone leave the area!)

Did Rimuru-sama have a plan? If so, I have no idea what it was. Maybe he succumbed to asking Milim-sama for help?

In any case, after this warning, a huge blast of power came from a person flying in the sky. Those projectiles had completely dissimated Charybdis. Yeah, it was probably Milim-sama.

And as the smoke from the attack dissipated, a body fell from there towards the ground.

I went towards it, wondering who that person was.

When I arrived at the scene, it was Rimuru, Milim, and the body was that of Phóbio, a beastman who had come to town a while ago.

Apparently Rimuru-sama was separating something from Phóbio's body. And Milim was just sitting at the back, watching it all happen. She herself told me not to disturb Rimuru, after all, he was doing something important. I wonder what it was.

Something I noticed was that Rimuru-sama's normally purple hair started to become more vibrant. Just as a strangely powerful aura began to emanate from him-

BOOM*

"What?!"

Suddenly a huge explosion along with a large beam of light appeared from within the forest.

Maybe it's the master who's fighting?

That explosion had also caught the attention of Milim, who got up and stood between the explosion and Rimuru-sama, who didn't even flinch because of the explosion, perhaps he was too focused.

After a few seconds, something started coming towards us at great speed, as if it was being thrown, something that could be seen from the impacts inside the forest. And then a person came out of the forest, as if they were throwing this person, who came bouncing along the ground towards us.

And when he was about 3 meters away from us, I could see who it was.

"Master?!" I exclaimed, surprised.

He was getting up from the ground, and when he did, he assumed a combat stance. He was holding a dark sword, and his clothes were half torn.

"Shiro... Please don't do anything. I say the same to you Lord Demon Milim." Master said to both of us, keeping his gaze fixed on the forest.

And just as he finished speaking, a figure began to emerge from the forest. Or rather, three figures began to emerge from the forest. The moment I could fully see them, my whole body shivered. They're Demon Lords?! I thought to myself.

Those three appeared to be as strong as Charybdis, much stronger.

One of them, who looked like a lizard, walked in front of the master, stopping 5 meters away from him. The two stared at each other for a while.

But before they could start fighting, Milim-sama went towards the lizard and tried to attack him with everything, but was surprisingly blocked by a guy in knight's armor. The clash of the two swords was enough to split the sky in two, and also capable of causing an absurd roar in the surroundings. The two then took a step back.

"Demon Lord Milim... Please don't interfere." My master had ordered, without taking his gaze off the lizard man.

"..." Milim, understanding what my master had said, stepped back and put his weapon away.

The knight had done the same, at the command of a black-eyed woman in a suit.

"Right Yorua, put your sword away." The woman had said.

Was she superior to him? Why else would he obey her without question, I thought to myself.

"-Mika, please don't resist, we mean you no harm." She continued, as she approached the lizard man's side.

"... I still don't understand how you know my name, but I won't give in so easily." My master said, as he prepared to attack again.

"..." The woman stared at him, as if she was disappointed. "Well then, Farn, I've knocked you out." She spoke to the lizard man, and at the same moment, he disappeared from my sight.

And when I could see him again, it was because my master had punched him hard in the stomach. That attack caused a great deal of pressure in the surroundings, and also caused my master to faint.

"Master!" I shouted as I headed towards them, only to have my arm grabbed by Demon Lord Milim.

"Let me go! I need to help you!!!" I shouted in desperation, but the only answer I got was:

"You won't be able to fight them, they're much stronger than you."

I was so desperate, was my master going to be kidnapped by people we didn't know? That was the only thing on my mind during that situation.

When I turned my gaze back to them, the woman had opened a black portal surrounded by a red aura. The knight and the lizard man entered first, taking my master with them. I tried to run after them, but Milim was holding me too tightly.

And before I could realize it, the four of them disappeared from my sight. Both their magicules and their very presence, it was as if they had simply left this dimension.

I fell to my knees on the floor, I was filled with despair. What now? What should I do?

I collapsed in tears, I could see Milim watching me with pitying eyes, after a while, I collapsed, tired.

(Mika's vision, when he was with the unknown individuals)

"..."

The three of them were staring at me. And as I began to take a combat stance, the woman stepped forward and began to speak.

"Mika... The one who received @!$*&-'s blessing"

"Khug!" When she spoke that name, I felt an enormous pain in my ears, as if something was preventing me from hearing it.

"Hoh, so he doesn't want you to know about him uh?" The woman spoke, while covering her mouth as a sign of surprise.

"Who are you? How do you know my name?!" I asked, with some difficulty in my speech.

"... My name is Julga, my job is to capture you and take you to the Outerverse, so that there, you can be tested to take the post of the one whose name must not be mentioned." She said as she approached me, step by step. I couldn't move in the opposite direction, as if some force was making me stay there.

"The Black Knight back there is known as Yorua, and the lizard man is called Farn, they don't talk much, so you can leave the communication to me."

Those two didn't show any reaction to her presentation.

"... What did you mean by 'capture you'?" I asked reluctantly.

"Exactly what I said, and I'm going to do it even if I have to use force." She exclaimed with conviction as she grasped my chin, bringing her face close to mine.

I couldn't help but jump back, I was under a lot of pressure, those three are very powerful, if they want they can defeat me without any difficulty, that much I'm sure of. But I won't let them catch me, or rather, I feel I can't let them catch me!

"As if I would!" I shouted as I summoned my sword to begin an attack on the woman. My move was easily avoided, and just as she dodged, the lizard came at me with a high-speed punch.

I narrowly blocked it, but the pressure of the blow was unavoidable.

"Well then, Mika, if you want to fight, then so be it. Farn, fight him until he can't resist any longer. But don't kill him."

As soon as the command was given, Farn continued his previous flurry of movements. His punches and kicks were fast and precise, and yet you could see that he was holding back.

'Tch!'

'Reader, give me a hand here!'

<<...>>

'Reader?! Reader! Now is not the time for jokes!'

The Reader wasn't answering me, which meant I'd have to deal with this fight without his support.

'Shit!!!'

I couldn't help complaining inside, this was a critical moment!

But even so, Farn's movements didn't stop, he had no openings in those blows, I couldn't even fight back, I was just on the defensive.

'Spatial Motion!'

I teleported upwards, as a way of preparing to strike.

'I didn't want to have to use that...'

I had a chance of defeating this guy, with a single move that utilized everything I had. A magic that was developed by the Reader after analyzing all my memories of spells.

He called it 'Absolute Magic', quite a catchy name, but I have to confess that it's quite powerful.

There are three spells in this spell. The first being...

'Absolute Enhancement!' This one uses all the enhancement spells in one. The second is...

'Red Thunder!' This greatly improves all my attacks. I was almost done, and now, using the little strength left in my body, I raise my arm back, take a deep breath and use the last spell...

'Supreme Beam!' The moment I swung my arm with the sword, as if time had stopped, as if space had collapsed, as if all the elements of nature had gone into a trance, a white sphere of energy formed in front of me.

From there, red thunder began to surround the sphere, and purple stars followed the thunder, and finally, a giant light covered my vision, and a huge beam headed towards Farn.

A thunderous noise could be heard, and the place where he was standing appeared to have been decimated.

However...

When my vision returned I was on the ground, and standing in front of me was a lizard who, with its face now sporting a huge grin, kicked me out of the forest.

'Damn... Not even my strongest blow did anything to it...'

Outside I met up with Shiro, and apparently Rimuru was already absorbing Charybdis' core, why did I have to fall here? I asked myself.

I told the two of them not to get involved, I have to deal with this on my own.

Milim had tried to attack Farm, but was stopped by the Black Knight. Unbelievable, not even she could attack them...

In the next few moments I don't remember anything else...

And now I'm here, in a room inside a wooden house.

I think they managed to catch me.

(Great Erudite's Notes: I rushed this chapter a bit, sorry about that. I was having problems at school, and I was very busy, so it took me a long time to write it.)
