"What?" The Southern Duke was momentarily taken aback.
This was the first time someone cut him off. Even in family dinners, no one bothered to speak up when he's speaking. At formal gatherings, everyone will listen quietly and nod as he shared his experiences and knowledge in life.
No one dared to cut him off. Now that somebody actually did, he was offended. The harsh thoughts that formed could not be expressed with words.
He can't say anything rude. Especially when he is facing a prince.

He swallowed the protest and tried to break his thin lips into a small smile.
"Your Highness, what do you mean?"
"I've come across your tests last night. And it was very interesting how you were able to portray in detail the state of that 'Forsaken Village'."
