Chapter 53 - Chapter 53 - Crushed Essence of Ancient Origins

Third person POV

Because of that, Takeru was determined to give justice to this senior student. "Right, I'll make sure that guy gets what he deserves…" he said with his thick Indian-Bodo accent.

Minoru then smiled at me and then chuckled at my accent. "Wow, you seemed to sound exotic when you talked with that accent."

Kakeru then grinned at him. "I am an Indian-Japanese and of the Bodo tribal ethnicity."

After that, Kakeru went to Kichi's dorm room and knocked on the door. "Um, Kichi-kun?" The door was opened, and Kichi, in his red shirt and blue pants, appeared. "Oh, hi there, are you…?"

"Hi there, my name is Basumatary Kakeru," Kakeru replied brightly, "I am from second year, and I need your help, Kichi-kun."

"Okay…" Kichi replied back, "So what do you need?"

"The case of a dead student. I'm not joking, it's for real."

As proof, Minoru appeared on the site, and Kichi was basically shocked by the presence of a dead student here.

"Yes, it's me," Minoru said to him, "Can you help me? The one who killed me was Shinta. He did that as a part of his fascinating experiments."

Kichi was shocked even more.

"Yes." Minoru nodded in response. "I really need justice. Shinta had hidden this good and very meticulously because of that."

And so, Kichi agreed, and he and Kakeru went inside the dorm room of the Vista-Sasaki boy to discuss how to start with this student-level investigation. There, they decided to start with Shinta's dorm room, which was next to their dormitory, separated by a small park. The students in the school got mixed dorm rooms regardless of their grade and level to ensure social abilities would be maximized. So, Kakeru remained in the room for the night, eating some simple adobo and watching some TV with Kichi until bedtime at 9:00 p.m., which Kakeru slept in a futon. They did some homework to make sure tomorrow afternoon, after classes, would be the perfect time to start the investigation of Shina's dorm room, which was unlocked before he was in a rush for his morning classes.

So, the next day, at the time around 4:40 p.m., they did so, searching the room as much as they could before Shinta came back from his extracurricular activities. They searched up a lot, looking at everything that is worth investigating. And then Kichi had a vision thanks to his Foresight ability and pointed at a drawer of Shinta, the one with two drawers from the floor.

"That drawer," he said to Kakeru, who agreed right away.

They did so, pulling the drawer open, and what they saw were jars of powder.

But it wasn't drugs, not even cooking powders like paprika either.

These powders are glowing, which are not like drugs or even cooking powders, still.

"What the flip are these things?" Kichi asked.

Takeru then responded, "I have no idea."

And then they heard footsteps coming from the hallway, and they immediately hid in the bathroom. Shinta came back from his extracurricular activities, looking all exhausted, but he showed no signs of going to the bathroom. He went to the kitchen to grab a snack as they observe his doing so while hoping he wouldn't catch them in the bathroom.

The two boys managed to sneak out of the room and went back to their dormitory with nothing but the knowledge of what they had seen in his drawer, a very suspicious powder, as they had seen.
