Chapter 969 - CHAPTER 974: Rampant Change

Han Shuo had gone to great lengths to build Pandemonium. There were too many secrets inside that were unknown to outsiders, and most of them had cost Han Shuo a great deal of wealth and materials.

For Han Shuo, whose power was in the Skybreak Realm, he had absorbed a lot of experience about offensive formations from the Cauldron of Myriad Demons. Coupled with his understanding of demonic arts, his formations contained specialised knowledge that only he knew. If Han Shuo was an artist, then Pandemonium was his masterpiece, the culmination of all his skills and knowledge.

It contained some special mechanisms that had never been activated before. All this time, these places didn't seem to have any use or special function, so most people just thought they were useless. Even the Five Elite Zombies did not know their functions. Only Han Shuo knew what they were really for.

The changes came suddenly; huge cracks appeared on the ground from which yuan energy gushed out uncontrollably, causing strong winds and flying sand and rocks. It suddenly seemed as if the end of the world was descending upon Pandemonium.

Needless to say, given their strength, Judas, Dhaka and the other Hegemons were incredibly sensitive to changes in the environment. They knew that something was wrong with the strange changes taking place in Pandemonium. Without saying a word, they all rushed towards the crevices to prevent Han Shuo and the others from escaping through them.

Han Shuo saw what they were trying to do but did nothing to stop them. His lips curled into a cold grin as he let out another deafening howl that seemed to cause Pandemonium to transform once more.

Vast amounts of yuan energy poured in like a giant torrent. A rumbling could be heard from the many dark clouds that had gathered as the Yuan Energy came crashing down. It was as if all the negative energies in the world had gathered and were about to wipe out all life.

At the same time, a shocking wave of energy emanated from Han Shuo. The cauldron floated menacingly in the air as it sent thousands upon thousands of demon generals flying into the oppressive dark clouds.

"Bryan, stop your tricks. As long as you tell us everything, we will agree to Judas' proposal." Perhaps frightened by the rapid changes, Isaiah, who had originally been in favour of killing everyone in the House of Han, began to want to compromise.

Hearing this, Regis and Miller also agreed. Dhaka and Asser still seemed hesitant and didn't say anything. No one knew if they agreed with what Isaiah had said.

Judas smiled slightly, but he was a little uncomfortable with what Isaiah had said. He gave him a mocking look.

Wasir and Salas, who had prepared themselves for the possibility of dying, were equally surprised to see what Han Shuo had done to cause all these rapid changes. Now that survival was still in the balance, their fighting spirit flared. They stood together with Han Shuo with the intention of putting everything they had into him.

Han Hao, now elated, floated up on the throne to Han Shuo's side. The moment Han Shuo acted, he would help him with the attack.

As the Hegemons quickly tried to save the situation, the killing intent, hatred, resentment and other negative energies condensed into the dark clouds and descended upon the defensive barriers and seals they had placed around the area.

The seal used by Miller was the first to be destroyed as the other barriers cracked and shattered. It looked as if they would all soon be removed.

Then, without warning, a sudden burst of Yuan energy pushed everyone apart, while the killing intent from the menacing dark clouds instantly entered the cauldron, causing it to expand many times over before charging towards Judas.

Judas' face twisted as he realised he was no match for the Cauldron. Instead of facing it head on, as he had done before, he decided to dodge.

"Salas, Wasir, go now!" Han Shuo shouted as he pointed with his left hand at the Yuan Energy filled crack as it suddenly grew much larger, revealing a large, seemingly endless chasm. The force was so great that Ossora, who was blocking the crevice, was forced to back away quickly, like a drunk stumbling backwards.

"What about you two?" Salas wondered. They didn't leave immediately as Han Shuo had asked.

"Han Hao and I will escape using our own methods, so don't worry! Hurry, this is my last resort. Once the energies dissipate, I will not be able to gather them again. I can't keep this up for long, so you must leave now!"

"Let's go!" Wasir shot Han Shuo a solemn look before wordlessly jumping into the abyss. Han Shuo could tell how much he trusted him.

After fading out for a moment, Salas steeled his resolve. "Take care. I'm still waiting for you to fulfil your promise. As long as you can escape alive, I will take you as my master!"

Then he jumped into the crevice after Wasir.

"Stop them!" Dhaka shouted. Balintan and Kauze, who were closest to the crevice, rushed towards them.

Han Shuo closed his hands and unleashed a focused beam from his palms, causing the yuan energy that was pushing Ossora away to form an insurmountable obstacle that held Balintan and Kauze outside, allowing Wasir and Salas to slip away.

"Kill him!" Dhaka shouted as he allowed the destructive energy in his body to surge and form an Orb of Destruction the size of the Dark Sun. This orb was the size of a hundred fists combined, and its destructive potential could strike fear into the hearts of most who saw it.

As Regis, Miller, Isaiah and Tuckamore realised how ominous the whole situation was, they could no longer hold back.

Thunder roared as lightning bolts fell like rain. Strong winds quickly formed into many destructive tornadoes as the Earth shook incessantly. Out of nowhere, a meteorite fell from the sky. The dense energy of frost turned into a mist that froze everything it touched.

At that moment, the Hegemons, who had unleashed their Domains of Divinity, attacked with all their might. All sorts of forces collided within Pandemonium, threatening to destroy it.

"Han Hao, you go first!" Han Shuo shouted. His three souls instantly fused into a single body before he unleashed his hybrid Domain of Divinity before the other Hegemons could attack. He would forcefully expand his domain outwards.

However, Han Hao didn't retreat as Han Shuo had ordered. Instead, he widened the distance between them and used the power of the Quintessence Shard to its fullest, causing a gigantic tombstone to manifest.

From that moment on, something even stranger happened. The yuan energy coming from within Pandemonium seemed to be drawn to the killing intent, resentment, violent urges, and other negative energies left behind by the countless dead. They merged with Han Shuo's hybrid domain, causing it to transform once again. Unlike the last time, the domain now contained not only the energies of death and destruction, but also the various negative energies from Pandemonium. It no longer seemed to be affected by Han Hao's shard; there was no longer any conflict with it.

"ARGHHHH!" Han Shuo roared. Suddenly, he felt that the demonic yuan in his body was no longer under his control. It shot out at a speed that the naked eye could barely follow into his new domain, where many demon generals were dancing.

At that moment, death, destruction, demonic yuan, demon generals, and many other forces merged together in a way that no one could've imagined. It was as if a beast had emerged from the fringes of the universe, the embodiment of all evil, an all-consuming black hole whose radiation was nothing but pure anti-life malice.

The Hegemons could feel the energy rushing towards them as they were engulfed by Han Shuo's new domain. It was as if the ground had cracked and the world had been destroyed.

Then there was a flash as bright as a thousand suns. Everything and everyone was instantly enveloped in a blinding light...

After a time that seemed as long as a day but paradoxically as short as a moment, the exhausted Han Shuo regained consciousness and senses. He felt pain throughout his body, pain he had not felt in a long time.

Slowly, he opened both of his eyes to discover that he was covered in blood. The Invincible Omen body he had been so proud of was apparently not invincible after all. Some of his wounds exposed his bones, and blood flowed from them without stopping. Still unaccustomed to the sensation, he struggled to turn around. The sight that greeted him was indescribable.
