Chapter 949 - CHAPTER 954: Complete Annihilation

Dennis and Mascy had come with nothing but confidence. With Mascy able to predict every move and Dennis having the whole of Glacial Peak locked down, Wasir was essentially a shark in a jar; a toothless threat. Little did they know that things would turn out this way. Not only had they been unable to destroy Wasir and his subordinates, but they were now in dire straits themselves.

Han Shuo swooped down from the sky and used the killing intent that enveloped his body to form a gigantic hand that swooped down on Dennis and Mascy to grab them.

Wasir reached out and pulled a ten metre long icicle out of the cave. It looked like a precious crystal, emitting white smoke from the sheer frost energy it contained.

The frost energy in the spear-like icicle was so powerful that it seemed to be the crystallisation of the power of the Frost Cavern itself. The moment Wasir struck with it, the temperature around the Frost Cavern plummeted even further.

The giant hand came, pressing down. Coupled with the terrifying frost, crackling sounds could be heard as wisps of smoke appeared.

Mascy had managed to force Han Shuo out with great difficulty, only to find that she was now its main target. She immediately tried to get closer to Dennis.

Dennis had sacrificed much to escape Han Shuo's sword formation. He grabbed Mascy and teleported back to the top of Glacial Peak.

Mascy's fingers moved over the crystal ball as she seemed to be weaving something inside it. One by one, the green tendrils sprouting from her fingers formed a mysterious image.

Suddenly, Wasir's body stiffened. The icicle in his hand seemed to lose control as it stabbed at Han Shuo.

The sudden change was so fast that Wasir couldn't stop the attack in time. The icicle plunged towards Han Shuo's huge palm.

"Han Shuo, move!" he shouted.

"Don't worry!" Han Shuo said from behind his giant palm before dematerialising it. The killing intent that the palm was made of immediately dissipated.

At the same time, a figure suddenly flew past Dennis with blinding speed.

With a single thought, the Seventeen Flying Swords once again appeared out of nowhere, surrounding Dennis and Mascy. They were about to be trapped once again.

But Dennis, having had experience with the swords before, had his guard up. He didn't wait for the swords to descend upon him and teleported immediately, without allowing the swords to successfully surround him.

Mascy's power alone could only distract Wasir a little. Without Dennis working with her, she was far from being able to kill him.

As the icicle shot into the sky, Wasir's divine energy raged within his body to counteract the mysterious energy pummeling him from within. Now that he didn't have to worry about a spatial blade slashing at him like before, it only took him three breaths to break free.

Mascy spat out a mouthful of blood from the backlash of her fate energy being repelled by Wasir. The blood covered the crystal ball in her hands, making it look rather gruesome.

"Dennis, let's retreat," she said helplessly with a pale expression on her face.

Under the pressure of the Seventeen Flying Swords, Dennis had no choice but to keep teleporting short distances. With Mascy unable to hold Wasir, they would lose sooner or later, so she had to warn him to retreat.

Dennis knew that the situation was now against them. Seeing Mascy injured and unable to pose any threat to Wasir, it suddenly dawned on him that while their combination would work against someone of their own strength, they would suffer when they faced two opponents.

Dennis wanted to leave as well, but the Godhunters he and Mascy had brought with them were still fighting at Glacial Peak. His subordinates were already on the losing side, and if he and Mascy left now, none of them would survive.

These men were Mascy and Dennis' elite subordinates. If they were wiped out, they would definitely suffer a huge loss. Even if the Godhunter Alliance managed to defeat the Fringe in the end, the two of them would be hard pressed to get any of the spoils with their subordinates all gone.

So Dennis hesitated as he tried his best to find a way to open another spatial rift through which his subordinates could retreat.

As Dennis pondered how to do this, Han Shuo was faced with his own dilemma. Given his and Wasir's strength, he could easily wipe out Dennis and Mascy. However, Dennis, a Space Edict Cultivator, was able to keep teleporting to avoid being surrounded by the Seventeen Flying Swords.

Glacial Peak was a pretty big place, and Dennis wouldn't stay in one place for long, and teleporting short distances didn't use up much of his divine energy. So he wouldn't be able to capture him, let alone engage him in a real fight.

If they had fought in Pandemonium, Han Shuo had at least seven tricks he could use to take advantage of the demonic formations within Pandemonium to alter the laws of physics in the environment. That way, Dennis wouldn't be able to teleport around so easily, making it much easier for Han Shuo to take him out.

It was too bad that the battle was taking place at Glacial Peak instead. There was simply no formation he could use. The constant frost that gathered there wasn't enough to freeze the space itself, so Dennis was able to slip around easily.

When Han Shuo noticed Dennis staring at the Godhunters from time to time, he knew what he was worried about. As such, he had to keep the pressure on Dennis with his Seventeen Flying Swords, even if he couldn't trap him with them, to prevent him from creating a spatial rift for his subordinates to escape.

Han Shuo and Wasir kept the pressure high, giving Dennis no chance to open a rift. One moment he was up in the sky, the next he was down in the mountains, and the next he was among his fighting comrades. However, none of them were able to pin him down.

The battle between the four reached a stalemate.

One idea after another surfaced in Han Shuo's mind. His mind seemed like a vortex in the starry sky, spinning rapidly like a spiral.

The ideas were all shot down by him. He had to sift through the myriad of ideas to find one that would surely kill Dennis and Mascy and ensure that they couldn't escape Glacial Peak.

Perhaps as a result of all his thinking, the Seventeen Flying Swords slowed down slightly, giving Dennis and Mascy some time to catch their breath.

Dennis, as a Cultivator of the Edict of Space, noticed the subtle change. Each time he teleported, the swords seemed to slow down by a second or two, so he tried to teleport faster and faster.

After dozens of repetitions, the swords now seemed much slower than before. They seemed unable to keep up with him.

That should be enough time! Dennis immediately tapped into the spatial energy, causing the fabric of space around him to ripple as he tore open a spatial rift behind his subordinates.

"Retreat now!" Dennis shouted to his subordinates, who kept retreating. With a precise calculation, he teleported to where his subordinates were gathering.

The Godhunters being massacred by Wasir and Han Shuo's demon generals saw the rift behind them and jumped at the chance to escape.

"No! Bryan, stop them!" Wasir shouted as he charged at them with no regard for anything else.

As if awakened by Wasir's scream, Han Shuo, who had been standing perfectly still as he chased after Mascy and Dennis with his flying swords, suddenly seemed to notice something. He charged frantically towards Dennis and Mascy.

"Bryan, Wasir, we'll come back when we meet up with the other Hegemons! By then, Pandemonium and Glacial Peak will be wiped out! Hahahaha!" Dennis giggled as he grabbed Mascy and fled towards the rift.

Suddenly, the Seventeen Flying Swords charged in with several times more power than before. At the same time, the Demon Generals swarmed back towards the Cauldron of the Myriad Demon . It emitted a dazzling yet dark light and rushed towards Dennis and Mascy with overwhelming force.

"Adios!" Dennis said as he sped up even more to get through the rift. Just as the two of them entered, the Seventeen Flying Swords and the Cauldron of the Myriad Demon burst through the rift, causing it to emit a kind of sparkling light.

"Nooo!" Dennis' anguished cry came from inside the rift. His hand reached out as if to climb out of the rift, but was pulled back inside by a strong force.

"Aaaaaaagh!" cried Mascy and Dennis before the rift disappeared in a flash of light. It was gone from Glacial Peak, along with Dennis, Mascy and hundreds of Godhunters.
