Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Cruel Twisted Fate

"Ha-ha-ha… so tell me Mr. Sang how'd you get lost?"

"Well, my old man says that here in this forest, there's a secret dungeon of unknown god that fulfill one's wish. And I want to wish for another elemental energy, water."

Se-Yeon, standing beside him, looked at Sang with wide-eyed excitement and a glimmer of hope.

"Is that real? I want one as well."

Sang nodded, intrigued by her enthusiasm.

"Really? What would you wish for?"

After a moment of thoughtful consideration, Se-Yeon's voice filled with determination.

"I think I would choose fire. Yes, the power of fire as my elemental energy."

Sang-Woo smiles and spoke.

"So do you want to join me on the adventure?"

Se-Yeon with excitement.

"Yes"

"Let's go then."

Some hours of exploring the forest, they arrived at a mysterious entrance, adorned with ancient markings, they believed they had found the long-awaited dungeon. They stepped in with curiosity.

The moment they enter the dungeon. Sang-Woo notices some ancient writing which seems unknown to him. As they get deeper in the dungeon, they saw some skulls and old swords filled the chamber, while a mouse darted past them.

Se-Yeon's voice quivered with fear as she whispered to Sang-Woo

"Mr. Sang, I don't think we're in the right dungeon. We should leave, this instant."

Sang-Woo nodded in agreement.

"You're right we should leave."

Se-Yeon and Sang-Woo sprinted towards what they believed to be the exit, their eyes widened with horror and disbelief. The gate they had entered through had vanished, leaving only an empty void in its place.

Sang-Woo's gaze returned to the ancient writings, his blood ran cold. The writings that was unknown is now formed into a message: "WRONG MOVE." Dread consumed him as he turned to Se-Yeon, but before he could speak, a horrifying sight unfolded before their eyes.

The skulls on the floor began to move. They rose up, their skeletal hands gripping the rusted swords beside them. A terrible scream filled the air, echoing with a sense of death and despair.

Se-Yeon and Sang-Woo were frozen in fear as the skulls approached. The sound of their footsteps echoed around them, like a death knell. They knew that there was no escape.

Driven by instinct, Se-Yeon and Sang-Woo ran. They didn't know where they were going, but they knew they had to keep moving. The sound of death was close behind, its echoes filling their ears and chilling their hearts.

They ran as fast as they could. They didn't know where they were going, but they had to keep moving. Suddenly, they tripped and fell into a deep pit. They landed hard on the ground and everything went black.

When Sang-Woo finally regained his senses, he found himself surrounded by a vibrant landscape—lush greenery stretching as far as the eye could see, and calm water. He took a breath of relief as he realized they had survived the fall.

Sang-Woo gently shook Se-Yeon's shoulder.

"Se-Yeon," he whispered.

"Se-Yeon, wake up."

"We're safe now."

"Really?"

Se-Yeon once again smiled with hope.

"Let's find a way to get out now."

They started finding the way to get out of the dungeon. Moment after when they covered certain distance the once vibrant landscape started turning into a bad dream. The green started turning into black and rot, the water starts turning into purple.

They once again started getting the scream of death and despair. At this moment they didn't know what to.

Se-Yeon started crying.

"I shouldn't have come here."

"Don't cry Ms. Yeon I need you and your powers"

Sang-Woo decided to fight

The moment skeleton raised his sword to attack Se-Yeon, Sang-Woo throws a fire ball to the skeleton, making the skeleton fall to the ground.

Se-Yeon than quickly cast a spell.

"By the strength of Earth's might, I summon the power of stone in flight."

The ground beneath the skeleton's feet began to tremble. Some large boulder, its surface covered in moss and dirt, rose up from the earth. She immediately threw the boulders with all her might, and it struck the skeleton with a sickening crunch.

Upon impact, a cloud of dust erupted, obscuring the view. Sang-Woo saw an opportunity. He quickly reacted and threw a fireball on the impact, leading to a fiery explosion.

The powerful explosion threw Sang-Woo and Se-Yeon through the air, their bodies thrown off balance by the force. Se-Yeon lost consciousness, her senses were overwhelmed by the impact. Sang-Woo, though injured and barely holding on, managed to stay conscious for a fleeting moment.

Struggling to form words, he called out to Se-Yeon in a weak voice.

"Ms. Yeon… are… y-you… o-o-okay?"

"Ms. Se—Yeo…n"

With each passing second, his strength faded, and he collapsed to the ground.

The minute later. Sang-Woo regains his consciousness, as he stands up, he starts looking at the surroundings. And with a happy smile he starts calling for Se-Yeon.

"Ms. Yeon, look we made it out somehow. *pheww* that was some scary adventure."

"Ms. Yeo-n?"

He quickly started searching for Se-Yeon and shouting her name, his voice echoing through the forest. Despite his desperate pleas, there was no response.

As he keeps moving for the search of Se-Yeon, he stumbled upon a torn piece of her hat and some bits of her clothes, tinged with a greenish-brown color. He gets little scared but also seeing it as a hope of finding her.

He proceeds forward and finds some drops of blood coming his way. He follow the trail of blood droplets that led him deeper into the forest. His eyes widened open as he discover something.

There, on the ground, lay Se-Yeon, covered in blood. Overwhelmed with sadness, Sang-Woo couldn't help but cry, tears streaming down his face.

Sang-Woo let out a piercing scream, his voice carrying his pain and sorrow. Tears streamed down his face, mixing with his cries.

"Yeon…."

He sobbed, his voice choked with sorrow. Sang-Woo couldn't help but blame himself, his guilt weighing heavily upon him.

He hung his head in shame and whispered.

"I'm so sorry, Ms. Yeon. This is all my fault. I should have never brought you here with me."
