After half a minute, Gu Lanshan hadn't hung up the phone, nor had she spoken. Sheng Shi gently uttered, "Hmm?" and asked, "What's wrong? Not hanging up?"
Gu Lanshan snapped back to reality, then decisively cut off the call.
Her face then suddenly flushed red, feeling hot and somewhat feverish. She raised her hand and fanned her face several times.
"Sister Gu, what's wrong with you?" Suddenly Ye Si's voice came through.
Gu Lanshan's movements stiffened, and then she silently lowered her hand, cleared her throat, and put on a straight-faced, serious demeanor, speaking in a light tone with her usual authoritative work presence, "What is it?"
Ye Si looked into Gu Lanshan's eyes with a bit of scrutiny before finally saying, "Sister Gu, it's time for the meeting."
"Right." Gu Lanshan nodded expressionlessly and nonchalantly said, "I know."
Then she picked up a folder, stood up, and walked with Ye Si towards the conference room.
