Leaving Uriel behind was the most difficult part of his plan to survive the current crisis, but not even Luna whose strategic mind had developed the most creative way of thinking thanks to all the fantasy and mythological books she read could come up with something better. That meant it wasn't as much a decision as it was a last resort, though they didn't doubt it would work and in fact, they already counted with that fact. Defeating the gods was impossible for humanity even if everyone came together and worked for that single purpose, but even if it was possible that didn't mean they would do it as the gods were the only ones capable with dealing with an ever strongest threat which was the titans.
