That summer was quite a fun for nine year old Alora along with her parents. Usually her parents are busy in state affairs so these times are like heaven for her. Moreover her five year old baby brother Julian was extra fun this time.
But soon it was time to end this break.
Every summer for few days the Arcadian Royal family visited one of their mansion located in countryside. It was a mansion made specially for such purposes. These were time when Emperor and Empress spent time with their children.
Even when these summer were always short, she never complained because she knew being rulers of the land is not a child's play. But this year she wanted to be greedy. It was all because she knew that she would be getting even more less time from now on with her parents because some extra classes were introduced in her successors' classes.
Both siblings were trained as successors even though some nobles were against Alora classes because she was a girl. They claimed that a boy is better option for throne. But Alora father Alton asserted that a good ruler is better than a tyrant or a ruler who doesn't care about people. He intended to give opportunity to both. Her mother Isabella also supported him.
So Alora wanted this summer to last longer. But little did she knew what awaited her.
