"Ufufu, your thinking expression is cute Jake. So are you confident?" She asked as she rested her hand on her chin and looked at me with eyes that hid how cunning she was.
And in response, I nodded as I said plainly. "Yeah. He is a big guy, but I can cut him down before he can even grapple me."
At my words, Rino gave a slight hum before saying somewhat coldly. "I do not wish for you to kill your opponents while working under my company Jake. But knowing that you are a part of Ryouzonpaku I know that you won't kill with you following their Life-Saving Fist."
Hearing that I gave a small shrug as I hadn't truly found my path in either following the Killing or Life-Saving Fist that would color my Ki. But Rino accepted my shrug as a non-committal agreement and cleared her throat to speak in a more natural tone.
"So this fight is scheduled to occur tomorrow at noon at an old friend's arena who owes me a favor and is allowing us to use his arena while he uses the fight to make an important announcement." She spoke while unfolding and recrossing her legs the other way while her leg kicked about slightly from under her short dress.
I gave a small hum in acknowledgment and then after a moment of thought I asked. "With a whole arena being rented out basically, will there be more fights as well? As even multi billion dollar Yen fights can be fought in the middle of an empty parking lot. Seems a bit much to have an entire arena you think?"
To my question Rino gave a light smile and nodded her head to me in agreement as she tittered and said. "Oh Jake, you do have a good head on your shoulders. Yes, there will be other fights being held as Ohgi will have to make money to cover running his expensive arena... But unless some other plans come through, you shouldn't be fighting any of those other fighters though I do have a warning for you."
Her eyes tightened on me as she said with warning. "That girl Stelle will be there as well though her master may or may not be there with how she has gotten into considerable trouble in the Master's sphere of the world with how she attacked you a disciple of another master in Shigure."
I shook my head as I said wryly. "It wasn't that she attacked me at all being the issue... The main issue is the fact that she attacked me while I was fighting her disciple and that pissed off a lot of masters thinking about how they would react to a master assassin like herself going after their own disciples while their disciples fight as is natural for the younger generation."
Kurayoshi Rino blinked and then smiled wryly saying. "I see... I may have a large number of contacts in the martial arts world but I am afraid that I do not understand the world of strength. I am a master of society and understanding humanity and its needs as you can see with how profitable my company is." She finished with a small proud smile.
I gave a small chuckle and said open-handedly. "Sex sells... What do you know haha."
The pink-haired voluptuous beauty gave a small chuckle as well before eyeing me and asking with hungry amusement. "Oh, and how is your love life, young man? Any martial arts ladies or even a softer civilian girl within your heart?"
An honest laugh escaped me as I shook my head as I realized that besides some mild flirting with Marie Rose, and Honoka. I hadn't really had any real time for romance after all my training. "I mean I am open to finding love, but with my training, I haven't had much time to put myself out there you know? And you? How is the love life of the quintessential lady boss CEO?"
To which Rino actually surprised me as she snorted and said flatly. "Oh even before my pheromones became far more powerful and sinister I could twist the hearts and minds of men and women alike... So no I don't have a love life!" She finished with her voice rising as she damn near seemed ready to throw a tantrum making my lips twitch at how angry she seemed.
