Chapter 116 - Time Passed 8

She could observe everything, but it would be difficult to understand a lot of it and to be able to communicate.

When collecting information, it was especially difficult when the things being overheard would not be fully understood.

The main problem involved not understanding the words that would be spoken by those people she would be watching and listening to.

Even if she could try to remember what they had said, she would still need to make use of a translator to translate it for her.

If she was not able to remember it well enough or pronounce and write it correctly, then she would not get the correct translation.

Accuracy was needed when collecting information.

Any error made could be especially problematic in many ways, especially if a situation was greatly misinterpreted.

The only places where she could plant her eyes and ears were in places where she would be able to gather information more effectively.

Those places were mostly countries that used the English language as their main or secondary language.

Any others that did not have a good grasp of English and did not use it often were less useful for her to get much out of them.

The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand were countries that had a significant number of native English speakers and used English in government, education, and daily life.

Each of those countries would be easier to put her eyes and ears to gather information so there were fewer problems when it came to them.

Several other countries did have English as an official language or a significant part of their popular that spoke it, but there were many more that primarily used their native language.

That was why it was so important for her to learn another language.

The main question was which language should be learned.

There was a language department in her school that helped get into foreign relations and translation, among other careers, whether they had something to do with heroes, the government or anything else it could be used for.

There were resources available to Tiffany so that she could find ways to study those things, but she needed to pick one and stick to studying it.

She could only learn one language at a time since she was not a genius when it came to learning languages, whether it was the spoken or written language or both of them.

Since she had to choose one, she had to choose carefully.

A lot of people would choose to use Chinese, Spanish, French, Arabic or German due to their usefulness for personal travel and business.

They would also be useful for academic and professional opportunities.

Either of those would usually be considered good choices, but there was one important factor involved in why she would wish to choose to learn such a language.

She wanted to spread her influence to places of power, even if it was far across the world.

If it were somewhere very influential to the world, then that would be even better to learn things from there.

When it came to influences that made a larger impact on the world itself, they usually revolved around Quirks that were used by heroes to stand out the most.

Among those more prominent heroes that made an impact on the world for the power they wielded and their popularity from the results they got from everything they had been involved in, one stood out the most of all.

The country that took first place in the world of heroes was Japan.

Even the hero school U.A. was recognised as the number one school of heroics in the world.

Other countries may have had their own heroes, but Japan was the dominant nation in the world of superheroes.

That gave them the most attention from other countries as a result of them possessing a hero like All Might, who was especially well known around the world for his great power and heroics.

That great fame he had caused his influence to reach the United Kingdom to the point that there were many fans of him in her own country.

It was difficult not to know about All Might and the influence that Japan currently holds in the world.

That ended up causing her to make her choice long ago.

If she learned Japanese, then she would increase her fluency enough to help understand their culture, customs, traditions and language, allowing her to open up opportunities for future travel, business and much more.

Not only those things, but it would also allow her to learn one language that would become a gateway to other East Asian languages, making it easier to learn and understand them.

That was why she had been trying to learn it for quite some time already and had continued to do so once she entered the school within the language department.
