Chapter 107 - Changes

If those inanimate objects were being supplied to those places through the company or the company belonging to Tori, then that would make it easier for her, as there would be even less of a need for her to travel all around.

All that she would need to do was to check in and make contact with each of them before they were shipped out to their destination, where they would be sold.

It was possible that such tasks would not have to be handled by the company itself, as it could just be arranged to make it less work for them once they secured what Tiffany had asked for.

They could just outsource a lot of the work to another company, like the toy manufacturing company under Tori that Tiffany had greater control over and had much higher shares in.

Those things started to progress quite smoothly as the details of it were soon worked out, and everything started to proceed without any difficulty.

There was a small transitional period, but it soon began to work out as planned, as everything Tiffany had wanted to achieve had begun to happen.

Everything seemed to settle down for quite some time as new arrangements were being made for a wide variety of different plans that Tiffany wanted to put into motion.

Even the criminal underworld had been a little quiet during that time, and some would even say that it was disturbingly quiet, as if everyone would not be surprised if something big happened sometime soon to break the peace.

Her parents had not changed in the slightest, ever since they believed that they had killed Tiffany.

They never seemed to regret what they had done to her or even bothered to mention her once, as if they had put her behind them.

Their actions did not change as they maintained their usual operations, travelling around the country putting on their usual carnival act while making use of their underground contacts to earn some extra money on the side through their usual ways of adoption and selling of children after raising them.

Each time Tiffany checked in on them, she was made to realise how they truly were and how much she had changed once she had escaped their shadow.

Her fear of them had gradually lessened as she was able to build something for herself.

Her influence had expanded gradually as she began to find new ways to increase her eyes and ears in various places while expanding her ways of making money and building power for herself.

Her activities as Diablo had been especially helpful to her, as they helped to cover a lot of the underworld dealings and to stay alert to any existing threats that were still lurking in the shadows.

It was soon time for her to turn fifteen as she would be attending a new school.

It had already been made possible for her to attend a school through the creation of a new identity and a new body that had been created by Gideon.

After some consideration, she ended up going with a clockwork puppet body type as her regular student identity.

Due to her mechanical appearance with various clockwork functions attached to it, it was put down in her fake information that her Quirk was called Clockwork Sentinel.

Those were not the only additions to the puppets she had available to her, as she had many others as backup bodies for it, Diablo and several other identities for different kinds of ways that she could live her life, as her main body was able to remain in a safer and more secure location.

Tiffany was no longer living with Butch, but she still made contact with him a lot of the time and was not too far away from him.

The main difference was that she had been able to get a very secure safe room built for herself that would be able to keep her safe from most outside threats, so long as she was not tracked to her location somehow.

It was the start of the year after being able to apply for a much smaller hero school.

It was one among the many that had existed, but had one of the lowest success rates for being able to secure the hero license and to make it into a hero agency.

Even becoming a sidekick would be quite difficult for such a school, but it was still enough to help gain qualifications for other roles that would be needed.

It always helped that the people working in the agencies knew how to protect themselves if they were ever put into a dangerous situation.

It would be better than having completely helpless people around who would easily be captured by villains and would be easy to kill or injure.

If an attack happened when the heroes were there or away, they needed to be able to have people who would not always become a major burden to them.
