Thursday, the last day of preparation for the festival, went off without a hitch. All of the clubs were finishing what they needed to do, and the student council held one last meeting to ensure everyone knew what they needed to do.
The theater club did a full run through of the Jekyll and Hyde performance, the lighting, sound, lines, and props, all worked as intended.
The sports clubs went over child safety and watched a video on how to stop a child from crying. They also made sure to pull out the first aid kit and bandages since they figured some of the children would fall over.
The Napping club made sure that the room was in a great condition for people to relax by, well, taking a nap.
Knitting club didn't need to do much prep, but pulled out all the materials and manuals in advance so people could pick what they wanted to make and immediately start.
Kyo helped the gaming club out by finishing the board and making sure the costumes fit properly. Everyone knew their role, and it was going to be a spectacle.
The host club finished their maid and butler outfits, and made sure the food and everything was ready to be made.
Kimori, Bijutsu, and the rest of the art club finished adding things to the haunted house. Including more blood art.
The Gardening club finished prepping their presentation and got the booklets printed and ready to be sold.
The science and witchcraft clubs did a test run of their experiment and ensured that it would go well. The explosion was bigger than they expected, but who would complain about that?
The other clubs who had stalls made sure those were stable and that everyone knew their stations so to speak.
This final day of preparation was nice, easy, and fairly simple. However, the first day of the Welcoming Festival was finally upon Hanabira High Students.

Kyoyota Arianagi woke up to his alarm, put on his school uniform, brushed his teeth, combed his hair, and left for school. The Welcoming Festival opened to the public at 9am. Kyo got to the school at 7:50am - the normal time that he arrived.
Getting to the school gates Kyo was handed a pamphlet by Gara Nyuga. Once Kyo entered the building, he noticed that most people were doing last minute tests, even Yuuki wasn't in the entrance. Kyo paid this little mind, and went to his homeroom and sat at his normal desk. There were very few students in the classroom as they were out helping their clubs. Kyo knew there were no regular classes today, he did it out of habit and wanted a quiet space to take a look at the pamphlet.
The long rectangular paper that had the colors of the school on the front and back opened into three sections. It showed the time for each event that would start over the next three days. On the first section of the paper it showed today's date - April 26th. In the middle section it showed tomorrow's date, and the final section showed Sunday's date.
Since I have an hour I should see what I want to do and take guesses for tomorrow on what Mei would like to go and see.

The pamphlet was made by faculty and lacked a lot of originality. Admittedly Kyo glanced at the paper skimming through the activities. Despite all other clubs events and rooms being listed although they were just skipped over in his mind.
So I am busy all three days from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, I will make sure the student council and Annie knows that.
Kyo closed the paper and placed it inside his bag, then proceeded to the student council room. The time was now 8:17am

As Kyo opened the door he heard a conversation happening between Yuuki and Shino "We are going to hang out during the festival. I am really exci– Oh Kyo, hello, welcome." Shino said with shock on her face.
"Right, hello … um, if it makes you feel better I don't know what you two are talking about."
Shino sighed in relief, "nothing important" she said, switching to her usual cold royal like demeanor.
"Switching topics, did you two see the flyer?!?" Yuuki said clasping her hands changing the conversation so the room isn't filled with an awkward and cold pause.
"I did, I found it to be kinda basic, but not much more they could have done I suppose." Kyo said feeling kind of let down by the mediocrity of it all.
"That flyer was made by the freshman of the yearbook club, and edited by their advisor. If you see them let them know they did a good job, but if you feel so inclined, give them some pointers." Yuuki said glaring at Kyo because it felt like he was mocking her underclassmen.
"I didn't mean any harm by it, but I will give them some constructive criticism next time I visit."
"Shino, what did you think of it?"
"I haven't looked at it. I plan on going to one of the performances of Jekyll and Hyde, but other than that I am just going to walk around."
"I see, I was told that the A cast will be the best performance wise, but that the B cast took some more creative liberties, so both should be fun to see."
"I will take that into account."
"Someone I know who is coming to visit enjoys suspense based stuff, so I might check that out with them, so whichever cast you don't see, I will go to the opposite and let you know the differences." Kyo said. The person in question was the family maid Annie.
"That sounds good, thank you Kyo."
This light hearted talk about the festival warmed the atmosphere a bit, and soon after, the final two members of the student council walked in. Yuuki held a short meeting making sure everyone knew their tasks, and then they did a group huddle. The time was now 8:59am
We, along with most of the students, especially those who were outside, started a count down.

"LET'S START THIS YEAR'S WELCOMING FESTIVAL"
Everyone shouted and the school gates were officially open to the public. The student council then broke off going to their own respective places.
Ryuji was going to check out his girlfriend's presentation on the school roof.
Miura took charge in watching the fourth floor.
Shino took charge of the second and third floors.
Yuuki was watching over the first floor and the basement.
Kyo was in charge of overseeing the outdoor sections.
This was just where everyone would start their festivals and make sure all clubs were ready to begin, and they could help whoever needed it. Later on, it would be much less organized.
