Chapter 6 - chapter 5

Chapter 5 The Lament of a God

Jack couldn't believe his eyes, it was as if he was daydreaming, he couldn't believe that his most powerful attack would turn out like this.

Gritting his teeth in resignation, he raised his scimitar, after all who was he? Of course he was a Rank C adventurer an existence to be respected and valued by the state, he would not submit to anyone so easily, let alone a young man like Paul, to him this was outrageous.

The scimitar radiated a blue glow, all its power had been transferred to his sword in a desperate attack.

*CLAP*

"pity too low power!" said Paul shaking his head as he parried Jack's vicious attack with his fingers.

"Impossible Who is that young man?"

"He stopped Jack's attack with his fingers, is he still human, how is he so strong, being so young?"

"From his clothes he doesn't look like a noble, so he must be an ordinary adventurer, truly an abnormal young man!"

Said the people as they saw something so absurd, they wouldn't believe this from other people, without seeing it first with their own eyes, But they were seeing it so they had to believe it.

"Hahaha I was not wrong about this young man" Azriel said with a smile, watching everything in the stands.

Paul didn't waste, time he threw Jack's body in the air, as he ran to the other side of the arena with a battle stance.

'Dragon Fist!'

Paul shouted lashing out a blow with his fist imbued with internal energy.

*Crack*

The sound of bones breaking, the wind ruffling Paul's hair, and Jack's body crashing through the other side of the arena in a paste of unrecognizable flesh buried in a crater that was made in the stone wall of the arena by the collision.

People rose from their seats. Paul's power was not uncommon, but what was more surprising was that a person of his age would do it.

Paul, who was standing in the middle, ignored the others. And he walked out of there like it was nothing.

"Send a letter to that Paul Boy quickly, the guild can't lose a talent like his!" Said le Azriel to a person next to him quickly.

"Understood!" the person walked out looking for Paul who was already gone.

That same day in a place too far away.

There was a palace that was made of Diamond, from the ceiling to the floor, even the columns, everything was made of beautiful translucent crystal.

Since ancient times it has been known that only people whose power transcended the unimaginable used to have their palaces made of precious stones.

Such entities are known as Gods, beings born of heaven and earth with a great power that makes even the greatest heroes and vilest demons tremble.

Or so mortals think, when in reality, they are not as good as myths and legends say.

In that same palace was a person sitting on his throne, a man with hair like snow and blue eyes like the sea, a physically perfect man, a person could not find any flaw in his appearance, for such a majestic and sublime aura.

But that person did not have a dignified or proud expression, instead he clenched his fist tightly with a look full of resignation and sorrow.

In the palace there were many beautiful women like the dawn, which made this palace a more magnificent place than it already was. But her expressions were melancholy and tears streamed down her face.

"It's over! If this keeps going on like this I will go to Luthien Bellatrix's door and kill that mad god with my bare hands even if I have to sacrifice everything!" He said at the person sitting on the Throne, it was none other than Rhys Talfryn, the God of Justice.

Beside him was his wife Melisande, whose tears he could not hold back.

In front of them was a kind of portal, which showed the view of a scene which had all the people saddened.

"If it were not for that God, my daughter would not have to go through the life of those dirty mortals! Thousands of years have already passed and this palace is only sadness and crying, I can't go on living like this!" Rhys went on saying, smashing part of his throne with his fist.

What the portal showed was a ten year old girl, being dragged by her hair into an alley by filthy thieves.

"! Let go of me!" shouted the girl, but none of the thieves had any intention of stopping, it only excited them more, to continue doing their evil deeds by hearing their victims beg for mercy in desperation.

"I can't do this anymore!" said Rhys as in his hand an unprecedented energy emanated and the roar of thunder from the sky and lightning crashing down. Shattering everything thousands of miles away.

"Husband don't do it, don't kill her please!" cried his wife as she hugged his arm, in tears.

"I have taken my own daughters life for thousands of years and I always appreciate you stopping me! But I can't help it! I will never let my daughter be humiliated! Not as long as I still exist!" Rhys said with his eyes moist, no matter how much time passed he was never going to get used to such an act.

It was then that an unknown variable appeared through the portal.

"Release the girl or die!" a young man about 15 years old had appeared.

"brat this is not your business get out of here or try a gang member who doesn't mind doing it with man especially pretty boys like you!" Said the thief who looked like the leader of the group and was holding the young girl.

"Boss you can't leave here anymore! What if he talks about us to the city guard?" said a dark skinned shoulder as he licked his lips obscenely.

"Speak of the devil! Well, get him!" Commanded the leader confidently.

The girl who saw a boy trying to rescue her strangely was moved, but remembered that these people were very strong.

"Brother May go away from here, these people are very strong!" shouted the worried girl, said big brother because he did not know the young man.

"There is no need, as long as I exist Such acts must be punished without exception," said the young man fearlessly.

"! Brat in the afterlife remember not to play the hero by being so weak! DIE!" said one of the enraged thieves lashing out with a machete, his aura gave off energy of origin viciously.

"Hmph!"

The Young Man snorted coldly. Fwoomp! The torches in the vicinity immediately went out.

Bang!

The thief was met with a closed fist that struck him on his cheek and his body was thrown into the alley wall destroying the person's skull, letting out brain fluids and blood.

The other people were shocked by what they saw.

But they were not given a chance to react as they were knocked down like children, by that mysterious boy.

The robber chief felt afraid and wanted to put a knife to the girl's neck to use her as a hostage as all the members of his gang were killed by the boy's bare hands, but he was not given a chance when his wrist was held so tightly that his bones were crushed by the pressure.

"You! Who are you?" asked the robber chief in great fear.

'Who is this boy, how come I haven't heard of him' thought the leader of the robbers who was always hanging around the streets and listening to rumors from all over the city, pity that curiously enough that very day, they relaxed without doing anything until they found that little victim they had, which did not let them hear the next name:

"Paul!" said Paul coldly, when the knife dropped by the man used it to pierce his throat, leaving a corpse with a pierced neck emanating all its vitality.

"Sorry about the scene, are you okay?" said Paul kindly as he bent down and stroked the girl's hair nicely.

The girl was shaking with fear, but for some strange reason, she felt no fear for the boy in front of her, she just threw herself into his arms crying herself to sleep.

Paul picked her up and took her to an inn, he didn't have much money so he just laid her on the bed and lay down on the floor and fell asleep.

Elsewhere too far away everything Paul did was watched by Rhys, his wife and the women who accompanied him watched everything with tenderness, as if it was the happy ending of a movie.

"Husband!" said Melisande in an almost audible voice.

"Don't worry I know how I should act!" replied Rhys to his wife's call as he stood up and walked towards the portal which changed to a pure white color.

As if they were of one mind Rhys knew what his wife was thinking regarding this, so he made the decision to cross the portal no matter what, even though he knew his decision he might regret it at another time, still, his resolve could not be changed.
