"Please wait here," the woman said. "The orientation will begin exactly at eight. If you need anything, please let one of the staff members know."
"Thank you."
The woman nodded before leaving.
There were already several people inside.
Jiang Yue counted eight.
She wasn't sure how many students had been invited to the Selection Trial in total, but judging by the number of people already present, the organization clearly hadn't opened the trial to a large number of candidates.
She found an empty seat near the middle, sat down, folded her arms, and leaned back.
Then she closed her eyes.
She had barely settled in when someone took the seat beside her.
Jiang Yue opened her eyes and raised a brow.
It was the girl she'd bumped into at the Research and Innovation Office.
Lin Qiaoyu.
"I hope you don't mind," Lin Qiaoyu said. "I don't know anyone here yet."
Jiang Yue shrugged.
She was about to close her eyes again when Lin Qiaoyu spoke.
