"Kids!"
A warm motherly voice calls out to the children sitting right in front of her porch, seemingly waiting for her to return home. Around ten children heard her and immediately came running to her.
"Mother's back from the upper city!"
"We missed you, mother!"
"You've been gone for so long!"
The siren woman placed down her basket of groceries to be able to embrace all of them as less chaotic as possible. They wore bright and jolly smiles as they continued to talk about their day as soon as she came home.
They were not her offspring, but she treats them as her children. Yes, these children were orphaned beggars. And this place they call home is the orphanage, where this siren woman takes care of them.
