"Hello?" I bit my lower lip. His slow, deep inhale coincided with the sound of the waves hitting my ears.
"Sunny, where are you?" he said with constraint. Fear is causing my heart to race. "I heard from Trace that something happened at the mansion. We're coming right now.” It seemed as though he could fly for a short while to get here.
"Aiden, it's too dangerous here right now." I responded, lowering my voice even further, "You can't just go in.” When three armed men went by, I cowered down even farther behind the grass.
