After everything Ash's parents invited us to spend the night. So we all had some cake and hot chocolate. We talked for a very long time. Probably the most honest I've ever been with them After that it was time for us to go to bed.
Just like old times his parents had no problems with us sharing a room. In fact Ash's Mom gave me a knowing look when I enter his room for bed.
Not that I mind. Not in the least. We had a talk and she was more than willing to help me out.
I took the initiative and directly cuddled with him. Ash held me but neither of us seemed ready to sleep.
"Ash?" I finally said.
He hummed so I continued. "I really like you. You know that right?"
He looked down at me and smiled. "Yes. I do."
I started fighting myself in my head. Right now is clearly a perfect time to admit it. That I wanna be with him. That I wanna make him happy. That he makes me happy.
But I don't wanna rush things. I wanna plan things out. Do things properly. I wanna make this all count.
Before I could make a decision Ash fell asleep. Leaving me awake and troubled.

I woke up first.
Laying next to Ash. Tracing his jawline with my eyes. His relaxed face you can only see when someone is asleep.
The way that even in his sleep he told me like I'm a piece of glass. Holding me firmly but gently. As close to his body as possible.
Why is he always like this? It's not fair. He's always been so perfect. So kind. So caring.
I suddenly moved without thinking. Overwhelmed with emotions. I pulled out of his hold. Hovered on top of him.
My movements woke him up. And opened his eyes and stared at me.
It was a moment that felt like it lasted for forever. Where there didn't need to be any plans. There was no doubt. Just me and him. Seeing each other.
I hovered for a second. Then I kissed him.
