One of them is supposedly the place where our Goddess ascended when she left the mortal world to create the Serpents Den of Dreams in conjunction with the other serpentine deities. The validity of this is questionable as there are apparently repots of at least two other locations where people claim the same thing.
Regardless of which is true, all three are protected for the sake of not having to deal with figuring out which is the real site.
Aside from that, there are places where the first churches were founded, some of them still being used to this day, whilst others were demolished or abandoned.
The remaining sites are for various thing, like the birth sites of saints, great figures in both our species and the Sect's history.
