A fracture had appeared in the lowest layer of the lattice that bound Existence, and it appeared on the spot where the first dimension met the second. A place where length touched width and refused to become anything higher.
Normally, this fracture would never exist, not inside Existence because something had taken out this rule from it, but only at the very edge of Existence could Eos be able to make this happen.
He looked at the fracture, and something about its nature seemed to call to him, and Eos knew that this call was the feeling of standing before the precipice of the unknown, and for someone like him whom much of the secrets of Existence, this call was a fatal lure.
Eos reached out and touched the fracture. The moment his finger made contact, the line bent. This bend was a conceptual curve in Existence as infinite straightness folded inward, wrapping around the 2D plane like a thread being sewn through cloth.
