Chapter 610 - The Final Battle

"That damned brat. I can't believe he pulled one over me like that. Talk about a pain in the ass." Ink looked at the place he had been sealed, watching as the lightning prison began to vanish. "Though, I don't think that prison was close to complete. Something interfered with it. The way that brat talked about it, I don't think he was mistaken about its strength either. Shit hurt just as bad as he said…" Ink pondered for a moment, then he began laughing, releasing his disgusting aura into the void. "YOU'LL ALL PAY!"

Ink began a one man assault against the Human Race. This instigated the other ink clan forces to act as well. However, the human race was not worried in the slightest. They had long since been preparing for such an event to occur. It was that motto of mine… Always be prepared.

The 9th ranks present, the leaders of their respective Mountain Passes, called for the order. The human ace army gulped, and then a wild yet confident smirk appeared on their faces.

The call relayed with urgency. "Begin the Linked Mountain Pass, Ink Combating Array!"

What Ink laid his eyes on, caught him off guard. And in his confidence, he waited to see what his enemy was going to do. "Hmm, this might be fun. I do love the feeling of all those emotions when hope turns to despair." He licked his lips. "I guess while I wait, I can create more clan members." And a steady stream of ink clan rose to form mighty legions of evil.

"Do not let his actions worry you! Continue with the array!"

The 18 Mountain Passes had started their singular unit arrays. The one that activated the control mechanisms. This wasn't scary in the slightest. However, they weren't done yet. The Mountain Passes formed energy links between each other, in a way that all of them had been connected to each other. Meaning, that it didn't matter what happened, energy would channel through these 9 Mountain Passes regardless of any interference.

"That's actually a little annoying, they could probably handle one of my clones like that. What-"

The final step began to show itself. A field created of pseudo chaos wrapped around the Mountain Passes and molded into the shape of a lone figure. From there, there was no longer any time to wait, this was not something they could hope to keep up forever. It's merely a stop gap measure. Even so, the chaos figure charged, landing a surprised left hook on Ink, sending him flying back a few meters, annoyed.

"I see, this power isn't nearly that impressive, but I should consider it worthy of praise… To think you managed to hit me hard enough to deal damage… Only two others have ever achieved this before you. You should be proud, though…" His eyes narrowed with fury. "You won't live long enough to regret that action… DIE HUMANS!"

A mighty surge of Ink Force summoned forth from the depths of Ink himself, the result was an instant haze that spread through the Ink Battlefield. His location was now perfectly hidden within the thick fog, from which he launched a barrage of attacks directly attacking the human race's formation.

"What is this damn array? It's so resilient? And it hurts a fair amount too…" His eyes narrowed, this time with curiosity.

"HAHAHA! This is just a redesign of our normal battle formation. Though we do have a special aid to make it all possible. I'm sure you know it well…"

Ink took another look at the formation, there he saw the painfully familiar sight. One he couldn't possibly, ever, in his life, no matter the number of eternities, forget. And in a whispering mutter, he lamented. "Damn it, That battle I had with him was way too close for comfort. I'm lucky that he was so inexperienced. I would definitely have lost that fight otherwise." Then in a boisterous tone, he shouted. "HAHA! Using the fragmented remains of a tiny portion of that weakling's power. He couldn't defeat me, what makes you think that less than a fraction of him would help you?"

"You don't need to know that. But, I suppose telling you that would only prove to be fun. The answer is… It's not supposed to help us beat you…"

It was then that the second group had finally managed to finish their formation. And more than that, the human race's army had made rapid advances, and were now present to deal with the army. Their ships numbered in the millions. Their troops, heh, numbered closer to the billion marker.

Yet ahead of all of these warriors with iron wills, were a small group of thoroughly ticked off and powerful individuals. Individually, None of them came close to the power I had when I fought Ink, however, when considering the amplification they get from the battle formation array, they would be damn close. Certainly enough to pose a significant threat.

The members of the group were; Yang Kai, Mu, Cang, Wu Kuang, Dragon Emperor, Phoenix Empress, Su Yan. They would have added in some others, but there was something else going on with Zhang Ruo Xi and the twins. So while she was there, she wasn't going to be a part of the array.

"Ah, would you look at this, more ants have come to swarm. Only to die, like moths to a flame."

"You won't be talking like that again, not after today." Yang Kai tapped his finger in frustration, as the battle formation took hold. "I WILL AVENGE MY SON!"

"Come now, how do you expect to do that? Especially when you just went and made me stronger just now."

"You'll see in time you disgusting cancer upon this world."

From there no more needless words were spoken. Yang Kai and his formation, and Ruo Xi with her combination of the twins, all began their desperate battle against Ink.

The army forces turned the remaining areas into a massive active battlefield. There was no shortage of powerful techniques lighting up and darkening the massive chaotic battle. And yet, even among this chaos, my students' techniques were the most visible. Each one executed with grace, and power befitting the title they each bore as a one who studied under the Temporal Thunder Divine Emperor.
