Chapter 151 - Chapter 144: Church Infiltration

Arthur stood at the edge of the forest, gazing at the dilapidated church where Asia was being held captive by the Fallen Angel.

The moon hung high in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the old structure. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, filling the air with an unsettling stillness.

How I wish to spend my time with Grayfia. Arthur thought to himself.

When he had been preoccupied with Grayfia, indulging in a much-needed moment of relaxation. It was then that Rias sent him a message that he decided to take action.

Apparently, Issei had grown impatient and decided to infiltrate the church with Kiba and Koneko. It was reckless but not unexpected from him.

The boy was still new to being a devil, too hot-blooded for his own good. At the very least, Kiba and Koneko were with him, making sure he didn't get himself killed.

As he walked toward the clearing near the church, a familiar voice called out to him.

"Arthur-san, you're late," Akeno teased, her sultry voice laced with amusement.

She stood beside Rias, looking as regal as ever, her arms crossed under her ample chest.

Arthur smirked. "Yeah, I was busy with other things. Did Issei and the others already enter?"

"Yes," Rias confirmed. "They went in a while ago. I sense that Issei just finished promoting from pawn to queen."

Arthur raised an eyebrow. "A temporary promotion? That should help him survive a bit longer."

"That's the idea," Rias replied, though she didn't sound entirely convinced herself.

Arthur turned his gaze toward the trees beyond them, his senses picking up the presence of two individuals lurking in the shadows.

Their attempts at concealment were amateurish at best. A smirk played at his lips as he casually turned his head in their direction.

"Hmm, it seems like two fallen angels are hiding in that tree." He tilted his head. "Oi, come out—I already spotted you."

For a moment, the only response was silence. Then, with a rustling of leaves, two figures dropped down from the tree and landed gracefully in the open.

The first was a petite blonde with twin pigtails, clad in a gothic-style outfit. A mischievous smirk curled on her lips as she twirled a small blade between her fingers. Her eyes gleamed with arrogance, as if she had something to prove.

The second was a tall, mature woman with blue hair, her attire tight-fitting, accentuating her ample curves. Unlike her smaller companion, her expression remained calm and calculating.

"You must be Arthur," the blue-haired woman, Kalawarner, said coolly, her voice steady despite the obvious tension in the air.

"And you must be the distractions," Arthur replied, an amused smirk dancing across his lips.

Mittelt, the blonde, scowled. "Tch, arrogant bastard."

Arthur turned to Rias and Akeno. "I'll leave these two to you. I have more important matters to deal with inside."

Rias nodded, stepping forward confidently. A smile graced her lips as she regarded the two fallen angels. "I was hoping for a warm-up anyway."

Akeno giggled, her eyes flashing with sadistic glee.

Oh, I love that look. Arthur thought to himself.

"Ara, ara~ I was getting bored just standing around." Akeno said.

Kalawarner's eyes narrowed. "You underestimate us."

Arthur let out a chuckle, already turning away. "Try not to take too long. We have a church to burn."

Maybe it's because of Arthur, but unlike the cannon, they are not afraid to go on offense with Fallen Angel.

In the original, they were afraid that if a direct heir to the Gremory family were to attack the fallen angel, it would start war.

As Arthur walked toward the church, he heard Mittelt growl. "Hey! Don't just ignore us, you damn—"

Her words were cut off by a sudden crackle of electricity. Akeno had begun her assault.

Arthur didn't bother looking back. He had more pressing matters to attend to.

The inside of the church was dark and smelled of damp wood and old parchment. Arthur moved through the hallways with ease.

He could hear the distant sounds of fighting—clashing steel, heavy footsteps, and the occasional cry of pain. Issei and the others had already engaged their enemies.

Arthur stopped near a broken wooden pew, observing the scene ahead.

In the center of the room, Kiba was locked in combat with Freed Sellzen, the deranged exorcist. Sparks flew as their blades clashed, the sheer speed of their duel making it difficult for an ordinary eye to follow.

Nearby, Koneko was engaged with a few stray exorcists, effortlessly tossing them aside with her raw strength.

And then there was Issei, who was also fighting but Asia was nowhere to see.

Must be in the underground room. Arthur though.

Freed noticed Arthur's arrival and grinnedmaniacally. "Oh? What do we have here? Another devil coming to join the party?"

Arthur smirked but didn't reply immediately. Instead, he glanced at Issei.

"Looks like you got yourself into quite the mess, Issei."

"Arthur!" Issei looked relieved to see him, though he was still tense from the battle. "You're here! I didn't see where Asia is."

"She is in one of the underground rooms. Koneko, Kiba, follow Issei." Arthur said.

"You think I will let them leave right under my nose." Freed said.

"Don't mind him, you guys go." Hearing Arthur, Issei, Kiba and Koneko quickly run off to the stairs, which was leading to underground.

Arthur nodded before turning his attention back to Freed.

"You're too noisy," he said casually. "How about I silence you for good?"

Freed's grin widened, his madness evident. "Oh, I'd love to see you try, pretty boy!"

Arthur's smirk deepened.

[Aspect of Devil: Demon Claw.] Arthur's finger grew long and became sharp black blade.

"Oh, shiny," Freed said.

"Are you ready, Freed?" Arthur said with a devious grin.

"For what."

"To became live stokes."
