"Huh?" Issac was so stunned by his fiancée's question that the argument he had been sure his question would have aroused, receded from his thoughts.
He gave Maxi a befuddled look, "I don't understand. Why are you so interested in my mother's….." He trailed off, "Oh." He caught Maxi's eyes this time as understanding dawned on him.
Issac grimaced slightly, "Trust me, you do not want to know. My mother was so enamored with my father, she married him at quite a young age."
Maxi did not need to ask for further explanation, not when it was clear as day to her. She nodded her head in disappointment realizing indeed she was older than Issac's mother. Issac's mother might appear older because of childbirth and life sufferings, or it might just be horse shifter's gene to look much younger than the average Fae, but it still didn't change the fact she —Maxi — should be Issac's great-grandmother if looked at logically.
