The air between them hung heavy. Neither spoke, neither moved, until Aidera finally broke the silence with a long, uneven exhale. "…Very well, Clay. I'll listen. But this time, you'd better give me a real reason."
Clara bowed her head slightly, relief flickering in her eyes. Yet the weight of her mistress's words pressed down on her. She knew this conversation could change everything. Lowering her voice, cautious and almost conspiratorial, she began.
"About Zeyn… I've uncovered the information you asked for. Rumors, whispers from social media, fragmented records. Enough to piece something together."
Aidera stiffened. "And you didn't tell me?"
"I didn't think you'd remain so fixated on him," Clara admitted, her tone threaded with unease. "I believed… he's not someone we should keep close to. There's something different about him, Milady. Dangerous, perhaps."
